The Continental (2023)
Very disappointing
I have just watched this and I have to say this is a major let down. Episode 1 was decent and kinda kept on track with the world story. Then came episode 2, this entire episode could be cut down to 30 min if you removed the whole, "poor us, we've had it so hard" pity party scenes that add absolutely nothing for the story. Episode 3, felt too much like a joke, the bad guys in the hotel where laughable, the twins especially, guy plows through a bunch of dudes and doesn't break a sweat but has trouble with 1 woman that's less than half his size, I don't think so. If you like the John Wick franchise avoid this, you're not missing anything.
The Blacklist (2013)
Great show
I have been watching The Blacklist since the first season. Through the whole nine season, sure there have been some questionable episodes/storylines but the one constant in all is James Spader.
Mr. Spader is an absolute joy to watch on screen, his portrayal of Raymond Reddington has been simply amazing. The whole joi de vivre attitude is so much fun, and now in the ninth season there seems to be more darkness to the character, which I love, after all he is a ruthless criminal mastermind.
Keep it up, Mr. Spader and I'll happily keep watching.
Caught (2018)
Great show so far!
I've watched the first 4 episodes now and so far this is one of the better shows I've seen in a while. There are some little niggles here and there but over all I think it's very entertaining, too bad it's only a one season show.
24: Legacy (2016)
Horrible casting choice
I watched this entire season in the hopes that it would get better but, through it all I couldn't help thinking that out of all the extremely talented young African American actors out there why did they pick this one? I can sum up Corey Hawkins portrayal of Eric Carter in one word, horrible! This guy couldn't have been more flat, it seemed like he was just phoning it in. A rotting corpse would have been preferable to watching this guy on the screen, as both have absolutely ZERO range.
Ashley Thomas, who played the role of Eric Carters brother Isaac would have been a far, far better choice IMHO. He outshines Hawkins in every scene that they are in together, and is great in the rest as well.
This show was aptly named LEGACY, but unfortunately it's legacy will be the end of the "24" franchise.
RIP 24.
