Saat Rang Ke Sapne (1998)

Very light and pleasant movie

I don't know why this has a rating just over 5. It is an underrated move which is very light, beautiful and representing the culture of a simple backward village life... Love, small conspiracies and small punishments, where noone is killed or wounded... I rated it 9.

Acting by Juhi was superb as well as Anupam Kher had a lead on the show. Our hero also justified his role where a deep love between Juhi & Arvind was very touching, acted in a very nice and clean way by the couple.

Songs, especially Saat Rang K Sapnon, Aati He To Chal are very romantic and fabulous. Music was very good, cinematography was very nice truly depicting the simple life of a sub-continent village.

I am afraid why this movie did not have user reviews and a better rating...

Raees (2017)

Making films differently and making different films are different

SRK should now realize that making films differently and making different films are two different sides.

What Aamir Khan is producing since last 15 years is, making every new film from a totally new viewpoint, Dil Chahta Hai, Mangal Panday, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Per, Ghajini, 3 Idiots and eventually PK; all are different...

Despite of the fact I am a fan of SRK, he has different films only like Devdas, Kal Ho Na Ho, Swades, Chak De India, RNBD Jori, My Name Is Khan, Dear Zindagee in many of his films...

This film is just a typical routine movie with a few flaws: - He won elections and was MNA, yet he was murdered during escape - Strong presence of CM and Opposition leader got unanswered at the end of the movie. - When Inspector got information that the main culprit is Musa, not Raees, why don't he went to arrest Musa, instead he went for Raees.

Overall, dialogues were well written, well communicated, especially between SRK & Nawaz Ul Din Siddiqui, cast is heavy and success is already ensured as public loves him, like N Ul Din Siddiqui and this time, he took Pakistan's most famous actress Mahira Khan as heroine.

Karachi Se Lahore (2015)

Is it a Family Movie?

Being Pakistani, I should have to prefer Pakistani Movies at first... But after watching the movie Karachi Se Lahore, the frequent below-the-belt humor made it the best movie only for a specific class and not the audience with families liking the genuine comedy and humor which should have been the symbol of a typical Pakistani movie. Other way round, this movie was a good effort on a lighter note and had there been no such one-liner jokes, I would have given it 8 out of 10... as all of clean punches were superb, situational comedy along with soft romance was at its best... role of Javed Sheikh with Khushi was very amusing, although it needed some more focus (like Aysha Omer or that Travelling Group could have known about the existence of Khushi)... However, if we compare it with Maalamal Weekly, Hera Pheri, Ye Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar, Dhol, Hangama (Indian Movies), all have clean comedies. And yet I am not asking the Pakistani Directors to Copy- Paste an Indian Movie but producing a Clean-Comedy Movie... Rest Songs were great, Picturisation was great, Direction was great and acting was also great including Rashid Hussain (except his few sentences)....
