The most nothing plot
28 August 2023
There is no substance to this movie. It's so nicely filmed and the earth and Dino's look cool but basically nothing happens. Zero character development or story. So confused why this was even made. Better off watching Jurassic park or a space movie that has a plot. Otherwise you are just watching to kill time. We didn't even find out anything in the end. Like if they added an extra 20 minutes and we got to see what happened after they left earth maybe that would've helped.

Now I'm just adding extra words to meet the character requirements. Now I'm just adding extra words to meet the character requirements.

Run of the mill-Low Comedy-Ok movie
7 August 2023
I don't know what's going on with movies lately but why are they so dumbed down? Like the crude humor? The unnecessary cussing. I don't get it. Comedies like American Pie, Superbad, and Easy A seem to be a thing of the past. Instead of using humor, crudeness and all in funny ways, now we just do and say random stuff that no human would actually do or say. I don't know who's in the writers room and if these are older people thinking they are hip and cool by writing this dialogue but it's really weird. Aside from the trailer giving it away, it was clear from the beginning who the robbers were. I think most of the actors were good, and did ok with what they were given. Sad to see the actor who played Tyree play such an over the top caricature instead of a character more real like in get out. Comedy just isn't hitting the same way. Maybe gen z thinks this is funny but as a millennial it missed the mark.

The Little Mermaid (I) (2023)

Amazing, Beautiful, Good story
28 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I loved this adaptation of the little mermaid. Halle did an amazing job embodying Ariel's spirit and curiosity for the surface world. I loved that Eric got a song and was genuinely interested in Ariel once they realized they had commonalities. Falling in love when one can't speak seems silly but they handled it with such realism here. The ocean scenes were breathtaking and the singing from Halle, and Melissa and whoever played Sebastian were all so good. My only critique would be that Eric's family story was a bit vague. Like what happened to his father and why did his mother thing the sea was against them? I feel like that could've been fleshed out more or like not mentioned at all. And that is me being nit picky. Aside from that my entire family enjoyed the film.

Entertaining and Romantic
15 May 2023
I loved this spin off. Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury and such compelling characters at any age. Seeing their start was really cool and they are bad ass black women. The relationship between Charlotte and George was so romantic and touching. I also loved Brimsley's storyline. I watched it with my bf and we both enjoyed it very much. I like the way they tied in the "current" bridgerton time line and incorporated a young violet with the Lady Danbury story. I would like to see more interactions with other newly titled members of the ton. Because hopefully we will get more episodes or seasons in the future.

Faithful adaptation

Love this movie. Always have. I think it's one of the best book to film adaptations to date. It's a great story about friendship, keeping promises and growth. Great for kids and adults alike. The child actors did a great job. I recommend reading the book as well!

Repeated myself just so that I could reach the proper character count.
