Good Movie Loads better than most out there
12 July 2017
I like this movie. I don't understand the negative reviews. How can you have humour with rape, extortion, kidnapping, murder, suicide...It's ridiculous and just another sign of the times we're living in.

I like this movie because there wasn't that much violence, blood and gore like Daredevil and much of what is on TV today. I would have preferred no swearing but...oh well. Typical with British shows iBoy is chalk full of swearing but not nearly enough slang.

The concept of a phone embedding into the brain and merging with it is not much different from Daredevil and Spiderman. I thought this was going to be a TV series and not a single movie.

I will suggest this show to others with a short disclaimer. Good movie! Bring a on sequel!

Great Take on Superhero Life
13 November 2015
This is such a funny movie. This is the British take on Hancock. I will definitely recommend this movie to others.

The idea of a mild-manner postman becoming a superhero and taking all of his personality flaws with him makes for a great story. Normally we think that with the extra powers confidence will come along with it but that is not the case for Bob. Bob can't even get a date and he is the personal jar opener for a unionized security guard charged to protect Bob's life.

The "girl-friend" is stereotypical "Colombian" but she balances the "loser" persona of Bob.

Cute and funny a must see movie for the flip side of Marvel and DC characters.

A good B-Movie
11 November 2015
This is a B-movie but a good B-movie. There was no sex, no nudity, very little swearing and the fight scenes couldn't be called violent. Everything was implied. Having three actors that play superheroes and villains gave the movie some hope of success. Unlike Chris Evans who I think has soiled his acting career with a series of bad movies like Snowpiercer, Brandon Ruth, Caity Lotz, and Tom Cavanagh have done something outside of comics that shows them capable of acting something different. The fact that 3/4 of the movie happens within 3 rooms may be a bit frustrating to some. The ending may leave you frustrated but that's okay.

Continuum brings Canada Sci-fi to the fore
31 July 2012
My week is not started until I get to watch my Continuum.

There is something about the program that engrosses me. I am so happy that the show doesn't hide that it is filmed in Canada and doesn't need to make the Canadian Armed Forces look uber- tough nor the police all spit and polish. The film quality and special effects are sharp and look up-to-date with American standards, I know the Canada has been doing such quality for American shows for decades. Also, it was hilarious to see "Carlos" doing the nude bathing scene and getting his butt kicked by a woman when normally Hollywood does the opposite.

The storyline is slow at points but it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of the show. The teasers and cliffhangers in the show such as in episode 9 makes you want to come back for more.

The show does use swearing. I'd prefer to have nothing at all but at least they keep it down to a minimum.

I am hopeful that there will be a second season and that foreign companies will start showing the program. I think it will do well in the UK and US.

Keep up the good work!

Best TV show in years
20 July 2012
I am so engrossed in this program I can't wait to watch the next episode. I really want to blitz the whole series instead of watching ones-and-twos at a time. The characters are OK and the acting is nice but the storyline is what has gripped me from the beginning. Apparently, the show diverges from the actual book thus making it different enough so that you can read and watch without being disappointed. I really appreciate the fact that it is a one season series because that means the same writers are on the show and the whole story can be watched in near relative time to the plot.

Keep up the good work.
