Longmire: Ashes to Ashes (2014) Season 3, Episode 10

Most dramatic season finale!

The title of this episode, Ashes to Ashes, can be taken both literally and figuratively. A powerful performance by Robert Taylor, demonstrates the depths of his acting ability. The cliffhanger left millions of fans breathless, and is one reason fans rallied with the Longmire Posse to help find the show a new home after the former network abruptly canceled it. For 23 weeks, fans stormed social media in a cohesive manner, spreading the same message. We trended for 23 consecutive weeks, unparalleled on Twitter for a TV show.

We simply must find out the resolution to the season 3 cliffhanger, and thanks to Netflix picking it up for season 4, we will find out.

The best show you may not have seen!

Longmire - a very human sheriff, immersed in grief after losing his wife, struggling to do what is right, whether or not it is always the "legal" option. Often it is the humane choice which sets this lawman apart from all others.

There is a spirituality about this show, not in the religious sense, but on a deeper level. There is a spirituality of place - the environs where filmed are thought to be some of the most magical and mystical in the United States. There is a spirituality in the deep reverence and respect this show pays to the Native American culture. There is a spirituality of relationships, as the cast genuinely cares for and respects their crew and cast mates alike. That very human connection is evident to the viewers, and results in a fan loyalty which is almost unprecedented in episodic TV.

This show is so much more than a modern day western crime procedural. It communicates and connects on so many levels, that no matter the age, race or political persuasion, the viewer gets drawn in, and truly cares about these characters and the tales they have to tell.

If you haven't watched Longmire yet, you are missing out on exceptional episodic entertainment!

Exceptional!

Fantastic season finale, full of twists & turns! The script was penned brilliantly by the show's producers John Coveny & Hunt Baldwin, and artfully staged by Dave Blass. The actors' performances were exquisite! More questions were answered tonight, but many more were left unsolved. From the breathtaking vistas in the opening scene, to the dramatic cliff-hanger of an ending, the viewer is left wanting more!

Its hard to understand why AETV hasn't renewed it yet! Last week's ratings were the 2nd highest of the season, and it achieved the highest share of the key demographic ever! I would expect tonight's episode to exceed last week's ratings. Come on AETV, its time to renew Longmire for a 3rd season!
