Throwback Holiday (2018)
Not the worst
It's good enough for someone looking for a cheesy holiday film. I just can't get past the fact that she's going to have her own practice without any memory of med school! IT ISN'T SAFE.
Unpregnant (2020)
More of what we need to see
I love that this movie took on a sensitive topic and made it realistic. Other reviews have called it cheesy, and it definitely is at times, but like-in all the right ways.
BUT THE BEST PART is that all the heroes in it are black. It's the perfect undertone to the film and it really made the movie for me.
This film is the kind of stuff we need to see more of.
Better Things (2016)
Frustrating
Everyone on here is talking about how bad the kids are, but they IGNORE what a bad mother she is...it's unwatchable she's such a bad mother.
Blindspotting (2018)
Brilliant
This really takes a look at current race issues that are more than blatant racism. It shows white privilege in a way that is commonly overlooked because the two main characters are very similar-except one is white. It's hilarious and raw; it will make you laugh really hard and then be so tense that your body may hurt a little when you're done watching. This film is so important.
