Z: The Beginning of Everything (2015)
Made it through episode 7 then...
Okay, I made it through episode 7, mostly due to costumes. I could not get over the F. Scott Fitzgerald actor, as he was very unlikeable. I'm sorry, but all the male actors seemed so wooden (especially, the father of Zelda)
I just didn't want to donate anymore of my time to a show that had me scoffing, through most of it.
So, that's my personal take.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Lessons to be learned while watching this violent, yet, excellent show.
No matter your blood relatives, they too can turn out to be very bad people. Fame, greed and riches can corrupt any human, but, most definitely the "ruling" class. Yup. That's when power over others comes into play.
The ultimate turn on apparently.
Very well done show. Often difficult for me to watch.
Yet, I whole heartedly give everyone involved in bringing this amazing show available to all of our screens at home a 10 star review.
Dream House (2011)
Hidden Little Gem, Worth a Watch
I stumbled upon this while cruising through movies on HBO Max. I thought I'd watch it while doing some work. Wrong. I ended up putting my work down and watching the whole thing. Craig, Weisz and Watts really shine in this movie. I don't want to give any spoilers. If you appreciate the talents of this cast, you will appreciate this movie.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Very much enjoyed this movie
Confused by all the low ratings, glad I ignored the ratings here and watched it.
His Dark Materials (2019)
Beautiful Story and Series
Love, love, love this. I've not read the book(s). I am 67 years old and Love this series. Thank You HBO for making this.
Big Little Lies (2017)
MERYL STREEP
And the depressing overall drama. Nobody to cheer for.
This series went off the rails in my opinion.
Having Meryl Streep, an actress who insults 1/2 of the American public while picking up her awards, certainly did not help the ratings for this show.
I doubt that any critics will admit this. But, I'm here to tell you.
Meryl Streep has made herself serious poison to much of the American public.
Add a disjointed script. Well, I won't be watching anymore. Too bad, and sad.
The Debt (2010)
Don't even think about Multi-Tasking whilst watching this
I'm impressed (yes, I was thinking about balancing my checkbook while watching this-but. No Way. I had to put all else aside and watch). This is a movie for adults. Thinking adults. Lots to ponder here. I liked it a lot, and I'm still pondering, in regards to the end. *No Spoilers here :-) Wow. Just was warned that I need to write 10 lines?! And, that if I Don't or, if I repeat, nothing I wrote will be posted?
Who lays down that law?
Actually, that gives me a lot of insight into IMDb.com. I used to check out their reviews, and put some weight into them, before choosing my viewing.
But, I won't any longer. If people must go on and on about their reviews to meet IMDb.com's requirements, well, then surely, they're not truly honest reviews (in my opinion).
OKAY, have I written enough lines yet to get this published? Jerks.
