Glory Daze (1995)
A film the mimic my life at the obscure
This movie was so influential at the time of it's release. I was living in Salinas, I use to seek out independent films at obscure video stores, I saw this film and rented it. My close 4 friends just moved into a house togethe. The first week they were settled in I rented this movie and we all related to it to a T. The next day they built a bar and called their pad El Rancho just like the movie. Living in Santa Cruz almost 20 years, it really mirrors the life here. This movie has a very special place for me, it is almost like watching my life on film as it was taking place you may love this movie or hate it, but that's not my concern, I'm just telling you from the heart what this movie means to me then and to this very day.
Thank you for reading this.
Bye Bye Barry (2023)
Superb
Wow, just wow, if you are a fan of Barry watch this, if you are a lover of life watch this. This is a tale of a real human being that lived life true to himself. Beautifully made with heart and soul, just like the film's subject Barry Sanders. I am really moved and growing up watching him play was a privilege, watching this documentary reminded me of that privilege. Thank you Barry Sanders for all you have given to the sport and the world. I don't want to provide any spoilers, I just want you to discover for yourself what this documentary will provide as a discovery of the man behind the yards he ran during his time in the NFL.
