Cybergeddon (2012)
Quite entertaining cyber thriller!
I am impressed with this series. Norton Inc., Yahoo, and the other producers have done very well to make this series. I am a computer person and I consider the technical details in this series to be an excellent blend of current real technology including software and some futuristic elements to them. The cast did quite great work in their roles. Very believable and entertaining as a ex-hacker female action star, eccentric and humorous hacker with a cool style, cyber crimes police officer and boyfriend, egomaniac hacker villain, as well as the other parts. I think that one key at least I appreciate in watching these kind of films is to appreciate the concepts the story and genre aims for and not get hung up on little details. For example, just enjoying watching the make shift team of white hat hackers with unique personalities doing battle with the nefarious black hat team through out physical, cyber, and wit battles is really enjoyable. Incidentally in this case, I think with Norton's help, the computer elements were quite realistic. The plot has a great blend of classic elements of cyber thrillers and original components of the characters and storyline. Both as a cyber thriller and in general this is a very well made production. While this is a lower budget film compared to major Hollywood productions, it is a valuable addition to the technothriller and cyberpunk genres including films like hackers, takedown, the matrix, and others (btw, I read source material books for those genres also so I think I have a right to say that).
Common Law (2012)
Very entertaining and smart show
This show really impressed me. I found the script writing to be compelling and intelligent. The premise of the show is clever, some people may see it as a bromance but it actually integrates smart psychological analyses of the relationship between cops and interesting analyses of their personalities. All parts are acted well, I can tell the actors and actresses really got into their parts. They are convincing as the characters. Something I especially like about the show is its good blend of action and comedy (bro code jokes really funny). It is consistently a fun show to just watch for amusement while also integrating excitement in the criminal pursuits. This show is somewhat bold to address couples counseling for strait men. Its interesting psychological views on that amongst the many other valuable components of the show deserve big support from fans because some people many not be willing to try to give its unique premise as much of a chance as it deserves. I am really hoping for a second season and beyond for this show and its fans out there should write our praise of it to help that happen. The entertainment in this show brightens up my days sometimes and I appreciate its creation.
Elementary (2012)
Cast excels in very entertaining show
In my opinion this show is intelligent, clever, and witty. I have been a Jonny Lee Miller fan for a while and he shines as Mr. Holmes. Lucy Liu gives a thoughtful and compelling performance as Ms. Watson. Aidan Quinn of course delivers great acting as he has in many past roles. I really enjoy these talented actors and actress being given such high quality material to work with because it makes for a very entertaining show. The show has a good ability to pace out dropping clues to the mystery for the viewers while revealing alternative theories that are incorrect before presenting the solution to the mystery. In my view Jonny Lee Miller gives a commanding performance as the brilliant Mr. Holmes who at times has personality challenges. He skillfully adds drive and energy to the character of Mr. Holmes in the series. He and the rest of the cast interrelate and work together in intriguing and thought provoking ways. I hope this series both continues a long time and helps lead to even bigger things for the performers involved.
