This Is Wonderland (2004–2006)
Law and Order... without the Order. Yep that sums it up.
3 April 2005
A brilliantly written, staged and acted bit of TV.

Yes I am a big fan ever since the first season which I am glad to hear is going to be available soon on DVD.

The variety of story lines, some recurring with return visits from some of our favorite "clients" for the main core cast of lawyers and judges to deal with, keep the show from being too predictable or dull.

The show definitely deserves the classification of Dramedy as alternatively you just aren't sure if you should laugh or cry.

A cast with a lot of Canadian actors, some recognizable instantly, some familiar and many new faces with the occasional visit by a well known guest make it a Canadian Treasure.

Rumour on it's web site forum are that it has been picked up for a third year.

Fish Police (1992)
What with "Shark Tales" in theaters maybe it will make a comeback?
28 September 2004
I remember seeing this short lived series and liking it.

It was animation shown in prime time and was as much for adults as kids.

Maybe we just weren't in the mood for a "Fritz the Cat" under water at the time. The array of stars doing voice over work on this piece seems to have been "ahead of it's time".

Who knows? They may dust off the six episodes produced and re-release them to try and cash in on the popularity of the recent underwater animated stuff like Nemo and Shark Tales. Of course they can't be compared. Animation technology has come so far in those 10 years.

The Bonesetter (2003 Video)
A good story told on a small budget.

Firstly let me "come clean" admit that I was in the film, as an extra.

That being said the film itself is a good story, well told on a very small budget. This of course somewhat effects the look and feel of the movie but in my opinion does not detract from the story or acting.

Anne-Marie Frigon simply steals the screen whenever she appears. She gets the best "one liners" and makes the most of them. Other actors, including Sherry Thurig, do not have extensive experience in front of a camera but it doesn't stop them from giving good performances.

The attempt at a creepy atmosphere is evident and with some allowance for the lack of computer aided and expensive special effects we have become used to, the movie pulls it off.

Watching it being made I came to appreciate the talents of all involved and look forward to more work from this collection of mostly local talent.
