Hitler: The Last Ten Days (1973)
The poor man's "Der untergang"
It is no coincidence that most positive reviews predates "Der Untergang".
This TV movie has aged extremely badly, coming of as a dated stage performance from the seventies.
Bad historical accuracy - grossly so, bad acting (although, good actors - bad forced to handle a really bad script)
sometimes it comes off as satire, closer to Charlie Chaplin's "The Dictator" than "Der Untergang.
I do understand that the budget for the "ten Days' was small, but they could have gone a bit further than just throwing random nazi paraphernalia around, and calling it a visual representation of the real bunker. And what's up with the sliding wooden barn-doors being used? Somebody green-lit this stupidity and everyone was fine with it?
Btw, Blondi is not killed in this version of reality, so yey for doggo lovers.
Snowpiercer: Smoulder to Life (2021)
Season 2 of Snowpiercer moves at a fast pace.
Lots of plot progression in these first 2 episodes. The sets are truly great, some of the best I've ever seen. Too bad they decided to resurrect Josie, by all accounts she'd been dead (and recycled) by now.
The Expanse: Exodus (2020)
The players have assumed their starting positions
And now the mayhem begins. Glorious effects and set pieces makes this one of the best Sci-Fi episodes ever.
The Clandestine (2012)
In a few years from now this will be a cult classic.
I stumbled upon "Clandestine" while scavenging the depths of Youtube, and got hooked. Yes, it is cheesy, a bit dry, somehow pretentious, and doesn't sport the best production values, but therein lies its charm. It feels like a (very) low budget version of a Guy Richie film, made by blokes who love making film, motorcycles, and having fun. The length of each episode is around 7.5 minutes, and the whole season's total run-time is on par with a feature film, just the right abound to not become boring or repetitive. Trivia: One of the main characters in "Clandestine" is a notable extra in "Game Of Thrones", its the guy that frees Tyrion.
