The Legend of Maula Jatt (2022)
One word: Brilliant!!
A perfect example of how a brilliant director can turn an average script into something amazing. I was apprehensive about Fawad for his real life persona doesn't match a Maula Jatt, but he built good body for the role and rest of it was accomplished by makeup and costuming. Actings we spot on, not very loud or irritating. Even though all the characters were powerful, no one was shouting all the time to reflect that power. Everything was perfect except for Mahira Khan, she can't speak Pubjabi and is still an awful actor. Cinematography was world class and sounds were perfectly matched with the atmosphere. The subtle ending was icing on the cake.

Sexual Harassment alert!!
Just watch a 3-4 scenes and amount of workplace sexual harassment, made to sound cute or even funny, is utterly appalling.

Disappointing
I have two major problems with this drama
1: What should have been the main plot ( the murder mystery) was turned into subplot. In some episodes there wasn't even more than a scene or two about it.
2: What in the world did the do to Kim Dong Wook? I mean his dressing, his hair style, everything was so awful. They gave him such an unappealing outlook. One scene when he looked rather good and neat, he was forced to go back to his idiotic buttoned to the top shirt and stupid hairstyle.

Beautiful drama
What a beautiful drama. I mean it's slow and yet something that pulls you right into itself. I usually really disliking dramas with such heavy cast, because most of the times dramas try to rely on those big actors rather than the story. But not in this one. The story, plot, characterisation and acting is very very strong. And the subtle love stories are just so beautiful.

Brilliant drama
I am surprised to see such low rating of this show. I think it was very well balanced and brilliantly executed. The character arc was beautifully developed. Even though longer than the normal Korean dramas, it didn't lose its charm. Also loved the way they didn't try to needlessly glamorise everything.

Just Brilliant
Seung Ji deserves an Emmy for this amazing amazing acting. 7 different persons and he nailed each one of them so effortlessly and perfectly. Absolutely loved this drama.

A tad bit disappointed!
Something was missing and I just can not put my finger on it. May be it felt a bit too rushed, may be the element of mystery wasn't captured as it should have been, may be the lead character wasn't just as strong as I expected it to be, or may be all of them put together. I know it's not fair to compare the movie with the book, but I can not help it. It should have been a series than a two hours movie. There was so much more to this than was presented.
