A musical for gangsta rap fans.... seriously! A Day In The Life actually plays like your average gangsta rap album being acted out while the lyrics are running. You could literally black the TV and listen to this movie like a 1:30hr CD. Terrible acting, but it is what it is and actually a good attempt at it. Coolest thing is all of the usual hardcore ghetto movie suspects are present in one movie... Omar from The Wire, Onyx (Fredro Starr, and Sticky Fingaz), Treach, Mekhi Phifer, Cane from Menace II Society, Omar Epps, Faision Love, Bokine Woodbine, Kurupt, guns, sexy video chicks, genocide, excess money, suspicion, and drugs.

The two most seasoned actors in the film show it during their scenes while rapping their respective lines. Guess who they are...

Original. Original. The Woman was pretty awesome if you like killing! I gave it a 7 because some of the acting was blah with the exception of leading ladies, also the music score was a bit on the weird side. Often times it didn't fit the scene! Pollyanna Mcintosh was an absolute sweetheart in this one. She sold the role and I always wanted her back on the screen even with her having limited lines. She dominated the movie and Angela Bettis added the spirit needed for the movie.

The movie was brutal, anticipation for whats next, ultimately fulfilling and weird all in one.

Similar to "The Girl Next Door (2007)" with a gratifying twist.

Recommended for people who like brutal thrillers, revenge movies and heavy kills. I liked it.

Be In Store for More Bafoonery

Tyler Perry started out very well with his plays. It was more of a cult following. He would come to town and people would be entertained with some reasonably good stage plays. After awhile Hollywood saw the that the black guy running around in the dress could make money. The biggest problem will be the amount of money made by this film to this point. The dollar amount will almost certainly mean that we will continue to see Koonery & Bafoonery in our films as Spike Lee put it on CNN in 2008. It just stuns me that a movie like Madea Goes To Jail (2009) can make it into the theaters and actually generate revenue, but a film like "30 Years to Life (2001)" a pretty good movie with a thought out plot line, humor and without all the stereotypical BS as well as starring some experienced actors and actress barely sells any DVDs.

Watch, mark where you read, it there will be many more stinkers as a result of this me$$. People support this stuff and wonder why black actors grow old and phase out without ever reaching there full potential this crap keeps the roles low. Hopefully Taraji Henson is done with the BS after her role in Benjamin Button. If she is hopefully many other black actresses take that stance. Angela Basset is an awesome actress with NO work, just sad.

Madea Goes to Jail is funny though, in parts.
