ER: Chaos Theory (2002)
Interesting credit roll
As many times as I have watched this series, I just noticed something for the first time. During seasons 1-8 Mark was in a chair that he slid across the area in the opening. Carter was standing -- in the first episode of this season, all of a sudden Carter is in a chair in the opening credits, sliding across an area. Almost symbolic that he is now the lead of the show. He is the first of the opening credits now also.
This was a good episode even if unrealistic. Glad to see Carter and Abby finally get their relationship actually started, even though I never figured it was going to last long term.
One Starry Christmas (2014)
Not too bad
The movie definitely had some issues that others have addressed -- such as the problem of Chicago versus Texas in the future. Whether the future works out for the two or not, the best thing I took from the movie was it made her admit to what she really wanted -- a relationship more like her parents. Where the spouse or significant other was of major importantance. Making her realize how ridiculous her "boyfriend" was/is is a worthwhile outcome for the movie, whether she ends up with the cowboy or just an awareness of what she really needs and wants.
Seeing how totally inconsiderate the boyfriend is and how totally "unaware" he is of a girl he has supposedly been with for 3 years made it nice to see her break up with him. Would have been even better if she had turned him down in front of the crowd, but her character was apparently too nice to do that -- even though he was NOT too nice to do it in the first place. All these movies tend to have a ridiculous "boyfriend" who is jerk or just not a right fit, but this guy was a complete piece of crap. Everything was about him and what he wanted and when he wanted it. Definitely needed a major smackdown.
Murdoch Mysteries: Victor, Victorian (2010)
The year
I'm not sure where some reviewers are getting that this is 1895 when the series takes place, and therefore wrong about basketball. I have been under the impression since season 1 that it is early 1900s and many of the inventions and things line up with that time frame. I don't recall ever hearing a specific year proclaimed in the series.
Heartland: Snakes and Ladders (2019)
Obnoxious dad
There are times I really hate Tim. He is so self centered almost all the time. I know he loves everyone but he really continues to use everyone for what he wants and is always Mr Know -it-all. The whole bit with basically stealing the loft from Amy and Ty is sickening. Who needs a father like that?
