How difficult can it be
30 November 2021
Again and again we are tricked by flashy promotion, great stars that aren't actually bad but are working with awful and cringe material that just have no bigger point.

It's one of those movies that you wanna watch and not being pressured to follow it all because it isn't that smart or good. You could also start watching it from 30min in and still have same conclusion and feeling, or you could stop watching it at halftime being satisfied with what you saw and forgetting it after 2 hours.

Chemistry behind Ryan, Dwayne and Gal is at moments great, at moments stretched but always on point and keeping you watching. However story is dull as it can be, it's overblown, trying to be smart but being dumb, forcing itself and failing to actually be innovative. It tries to sell you movie because of people that are starring in in instead of actually being good and because of that wanting you to see it.

It will get you laughing couple times, and having a cringe face more often but when it comes to challenges it has non, and surprises are non existent because you probably aren't paying much attention to story as just letting movie play out.

Lin makes Andrew shine
30 November 2021
Lin-Manuel Miranda comes back and did not disappoint with another movie that brings back old musicals but makes them fun and worth your time. There are probably a lot people that will see this movie knowing who is it about and story behind it but if you are newcomer movie will surprise you and give you hope.

Andrew keeps coming back and challenging himself to all sorts of roles that you would never place him in, but he keeps surprising and showing all his talents. Learned to sing and play piano, then has amazing songs that had to be probably rehearsed to the bones so it would look as flawless as it did.

Movie keeps pushing some ideas in front when they are not actually that important considering deeper meaning of the story that is actually giving you hope. If you love something and invest time knowing that you have something incredible on your hands payoff will come sooner or later. It might not seem like you won but actually you hit it big and prove yourself not to world but to yourself that you weren't so horribly wrong and you actually managed to accomplish something great.

It's got drama that will make you tear up, it's got love that will make you want hug someone, it's got music that is great and fun and keeps surprising.

Duck Soup (1933)

Going back is actually fun
30 November 2021
With all new comedy and ideas that we experience today this movie was a breath of fresh air, that you'd want to take all day every day.

It's simple, it's easy, it's funny, it knows what it wants and how to get there and will make you want more. From today's loud comedy and restrictions of what is offensive and what is not, Duck Soup will give you raw visual comedy that is over and beyond all today standard and already heard whining about this and that.

Marx brothers have it all, they are funny, know how to handle themselves, and most important how to make you want more of them. It's absolutely gripping mimicking and visual and their flawless and fluid motion of comedy and spying after all because they are spies, but doing it in most unimaginable way possible.

It will make you think you know which side is winning or getting bigger end but it makes sudden shifts that after a couple of them you find yourself in corner thinking what will happen now and how will it play out.

It's one of the greats from 1930s that definitely deserves to be seen in modern era.

Kristen saves it a lot
30 November 2021
Another movie we knew we don't need but are going to see it anyways because it's about famous person and it has those "Oscar vibes". It's a story about how bad royals actually are some people are gonna hate it, some defend it, some love it, but at the end it is about portrayal of royalty but knowing deep down they are not worthy, only egocentric and two-faced.

As we follow Diana, wondering around mansion, in all that riches, we start to lose mind together with her. Wanting to be what you really are and not having to pretend but being forced is one tough cookie to swallow and Kristen really did dive into role and is the only thing that will keep you watching and feeling for her, screaming at screen to get out, run, escape.

Then we go to production design, from setting to clothes it was immaculate. Effort put into those things is visible like a day, as every dress portrays other feelings and emotions. Location and vastness of space and mansion is beyond reach and it makes you somewhat scared and on the edge of losing mind, and at the same time showing you all riches and treasury that it's got.

But you've seen it all before somewhere and it is just casual watching that you will go through and remember only Kristen playing Diana, but forgetting everything else.

Idea idea idea
30 November 2021
Premise of the movie is really interesting and makes you think about consequences of things that you do and say, however movie tries to play tricks with you that have no certain payoff.

It feels like movie was conceptualized and then pushed into making without much consideration for pacing or story development. Forcing you to thing how would you feel it something similar happened to you seems like an interesting idea but it simply fails as soon as there is empty space that forces you to think without any meaning or power that will push you to so, instead it places imagery that makes you claustrophobic and having as seizure.

Movie feels like 2 hour long but in all actuality it is less than 1h 10min of actual information that you should convey. There are moment that will make your skin crawl and hairs rise but then it returns to same old prolonged scenes that have no meaning but to push you again into thinking about mortality, which after a while becomes so hard and unnecessary.

Considering greater motives and ideas that movie is trying to project, they are great as long as you have follow up to all those information's but sometimes it just cuts away losing the point, or tricks you into thinking one thing but actually doing something else.

Make Venom great again
19 October 2021
There is no great reward without great sacrifice and that sacrifice should be PG-13 rating, if we didn't live in such money grabbing world and thinking that R rated means less money, first Venom and this one could have been something great instead they turn into childish play that is meant for 13yo and is satisfyingly good until one point where you go "It's enough of that lets get serious for one moment".

Without any doubt it has great cast and some great people behind the movie but it lacks support from someone who is scared to make real, bloody, less funny, more violent Venom. After 10 or 15 minutes of jokes that Venom provides it starts to get so dull and pointless that will make everyone think WHY!? It just never stops, constant poking in the ears by jokes are annoying as Venom is annoying Eddie.

There are some powers to the story but it feels so rushed and too much time devoted to things that aren't important. Each fight scene could use a minute or two more and some actual violence instead of throwing people around. Brain hungry Carnage is only eating when allowed by writers and it's dull to point of realization that Carnage might actually be just Red symbiote that actually loves humans.

The greatest thing about whole movie is post-credit scene that is minute long and gives us glimpse into what might come to be.

Dune (2021)

Be prepared (not) to be blown away
19 October 2021
Considering it's been 25+ years from first try to bring us sandstorm to the big screens there had to be hope for this one and for most parts it did not disappoint. Denis Villeneuve took all he got and put it into trying to tell compelling story that will have sense but if you haven't read the book, you will be like a dog chasing a speeding car that can never catch it.

Story keeps on delivering but considering what is known and what is not if you are someone who is looking forward to enjoying this movie, it's biggest strength is visuals that are spectacular and astonishingly beautiful and casting that has brought some great performances that are not be laughed at like in Lynches Dune.

Saying all that and knowing backstory of everything if you are unknown with world of Dune you might suffer from information's that may seem irrelevant or having no meaning.

Now coming to bad part of all this. Movie feels like 5 hours long but being 2.5h and in a bad way it feels like trailer for Epic Space Opera that could be 10+ movies. Part two needs to happen otherwise movie loses all meaning and senses. As standalone this movie will probably be forgotten in nearby future because you have seen it all in "Old Dune" but now you have visuals that are great.

Back to good things, score in this movie is amazing, it continues to provide with it's setting and atmosphere and it never stops on giving. Casting for some roles is miraculous, such as Harkonnen's, as they really feel like thy should and finally Sandworm looks amazing, feels amazing and makes you wanna run.

All in all movie feels like it should have been 4 hours long at least, to deliver punch that it should have and filmmakers should not be under pressure to cut their movies and dream a little bigger.

It deserves a praise for all efforts that went into making it because it definitely feels like Space Opera that have been robbed of some things but they'll be forgiven if they deliver satisfying Part Two.

The Abyss (1989)

Are we alone?
12 May 2020
James Cameron's movie flick Abyss is exploration of sea dept's in the most unexpected ways. After US submarine crashes under sea, team of oil diggers is sent on a rescue mission along side couple military guys.

First of all production design is absolutely great and filming looks incredible, combined with some pretty solid visual effects, really creates atmosphere of the dept and vastness of the sea along side with claustrophobia that runs in the halls of the rig. Feeling trapped under the sea looks horrendous and feels also, but somehow with decent dialogue it makes you think about other things while crew begins to separate in opinions and visions.

Idea of something living in the dept's of the oceans, seas is the most mysterious because humans rarely have courage to go deep and have equipment that will allow them. It is enough for anybody to get excited of new and fresh look into deeps but after two hours it really starts to feel heavy, sometimes too long and some of the craziest thing that you will see that might not be realistic in any way but had to be done for the story and sacrificed possible effort that went into making this good film.

Ending goes from heartwarming to tense moments and what might seem like hopeless, but eventually turns in the kind and loving way. 3/4

Capone (2020)

Hour and forty minutes of madness
12 May 2020
Unfortunately during this pandemic there is a lack of theater experience that is definitely lacking for this movie. Al Capone, probably the most famous american gangster, in his final years as we have never even imagined or had idea show from the eyes of Trank is something that you will either appreciate or be disgusted and hate it because it is just that kind of a movie.

It's hard to talk about movie without spoiling something because it has interesting viewing on some points that asks audience to be witness and engage in assessment of what is happening and why. Capone is the movie that will make people go bonkers and make them sick, but at the other hand if you really appreciate you are there for some action and you need to know that movie will try to play games with you. Sometimes you might feel like you are not following that is happening and that might be the only major problem of the movie but once you realize where are you and who is who and what is what it becomes pretty straight forward.

Tom and Linda both work great together as she is portraying a loving and caring wife that is worried about him and at the same time Tom is there to make her life difficult. There will be a debate hold on Tom's performance is he good or is he bad, is he grunting too little or too much, how sane is he actually and finally is it worst or is it classic Hardy performance that you would expect. All considering if you are a fan of Tom he will not disappoint you, you will have it all, his eyes, his grunting, his talking, full blown method acting. Sometimes it's not for faint-hearted but mostly it is about the truth and it looks pretty wild and mad.

Josh Trank is finally coming back and hopefully he will have more to offer in the future, because there is something about Trank that is unique and in the future if he's given a chance he might prove to everybody how talented he actually is.

It's mad, disgusting, crazy, disturbing and fun experience at the end. 3/4

Incredible horror theme inside classic story
24 March 2020
Coming into this movie without any hopes and understanding what might come was the best thing to do because it was the best surprise that you might expect at the beginning of the year.

Leigh Whannell presents us with a great knowledge about what anticipation, empty space, paranoid behavior and amazing leading actor can to to magnify effects of something that we expect to levels of unexpected. From designs to cinematography to smart story it just keeps on giving gifts and it will suck you like the same way you eat popcorn when things get tense keeping you wanting more and questioning every single thing.

Elizabeth Moss is just perfect, there isn't a single thing that you might point out in her brilliant performance. From being freaked out to being frustrated to extraordinary bad things that keep on happening to her she just presents it all brilliantly.

After some time movie might affect you the same way she is affected because of brilliant camera work and presentation of things that are there but aren't and it is freaking mad and enjoyable.

Terror and tension are going through roof at some points and it will be chaotic, bloody, terrifying everything one horror lover wants to see and experience.

Classic story told through eyes of Leigh and his touch of science was great if you come over some slight issues that present themselves along the way, but considering how movie is made and what it is about you will forget about them and that is what is all about focusing on what this movie does best and that is making you scared of empty space. 3.5/4

Rian does it again
15 March 2020
Saying that Rian Johnson is a great film maker is understatement. It seems like he just understands all aspects of movie telling and presenting a story that will give him a great opportunity in future to make more movies like this and offer us a lot more enjoyment out of his work.

Agatha Christie style of mystery wrapped with great sense of humor and stunningly strong cast will keep you seated for all times and make you to think and develop ideas while at the same time offering something new and fresh to follow and change pace, take turns and finally arrive with satisfying ending.

A murder mystery that will turn out to be more than what catches the eye and make a great use of all main stars, giving them a decent time on screen to make all wonders and suck us into their lives.

Rian's original idea and his modern approach to this modern day mystery with amazing production set and design that will make others look cheap and his brilliant idea of humor and comedy that blends fantastic into the plot of the movie and the one last and final riddle that feels like love letter to all murder-mystery films and tries to make it smarter.

Cast of the movie is also unbelievable and we can only say that all of them offer something that makes it great and creating of modern detective in Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) into Poirot-esque character makes this movie one of the greats of 2019's. 3.5/4

Nightcrawler (2014)

Reinventing the movie genre
15 March 2020
Honestly this movie provides something that others don't and that is why it is very special even after first watching and re-watching it years after is has all bad substances put in right place to make it gore, violent, dark, inventive and mesmerizing to follow.

Dan Gilroy critique on modern day journalism and news is one of the best pieces that you can wish to watch if you haven't seen it already. Captivating human nature as it absolutely is and making it even grittier, bloodier and absolutely nuts in realistic way.

As we wander with Louis Bloom (Jake Gyllenhaal) on his night journeys looking for opportunities that will make all those light-hearted sick and even go beyond what seems to be reasonable but you will just be sucked into watching because it is amazing in every single way. From compelling story to amazing acting and brilliant photography.

Gyllenhaal's character Louis is character that might not offer you compassion but will push you to limit and make you wonder about how society perceive stories and tales of black chronic that is all over us, but it makes us wanting to see more and craving our attention for such drama.

Somehow all that gore and bloodiness moves our focus from Louis and then he is thrown back in front of us so it keeps you reminded of his state of mind. He might be presented in villainous way that is constantly opposing healthy state of mind but makes you trust him because of ability to persuasion.

Gilroy's Nightcrawler is one of greats that 2010s offer and will be on must see lists. His way of presentation, photography, gripping storytelling, directing that has some of the great scenes to pull you in will make you wanting more.

Gore, dark, mesmerizing. 4/4

... Hero
4 February 2020
This is one of those movies that you need to experience to have a full appreciation of story and emotional value that is gives you. It is absolutely profound and makes you wonder and think about certain stuff but in a good way that you never though it is possible.

Younger audience that is not familiar with Fred Rogers and not just young everybody that hasn't heard or seen it definitely should, because it is moving, touching and after all beautiful story.

How much kindness, love, comfort can one person give without being overwhelmed with negative feelings and tested. That is exactly story of Mr. Rogers and his affection towards others that is beyond reasonable but is magnificent.

Tom Hanks is perfect, boy oh boy he did it again and keeps doing it. Seeing his effort and commitment for the role is perfect. He is too great for every role he plays and he pulls you right into his magic on screen.

It's mesmerizing and makes you wonder about relationships around you, love that you receive or not receive, love that you give and tries to make you better person. In today's world we need more positivity and confidence that Rogers gave all those children, people that watched and loved him. We are missing someone so kind to take all of our burdens, but are we? Is it reasonable to ask someone to take all that? We need guardian angel that Rogers presented to all that people in today's world that are suffering.

Love, Profoundness, Beauty, Kindness. 3.5/4

So PERFECT it is scary
31 January 2020
Noah Baumbach with another incredible story that is made like it's taken from real life and shown us on screens all around. A couple going through rough divorce and their compelling will and fight for everything, it could be said even for their lives as it turns into hell.

It seems like Noah keeps bringing us more and more and more, as it keeps getting powerful and powerful. If you imagine perfect marriage that does not exist this is the best next thing to that and we are able to see it from both eyes of him and her. It's crazy how much hurt can bring you things that you love and how much love can bring you things that hurt. Seems like paradox but eventually it is what it is and Marriage Story is all of that and much more.

Measures and distances that humans are willing to go and fight for just increase with love and that is what this movie is trying to portray and it absolutely did. Directing by Noah is also pretty interesting to watch as he takes some different approaches to give us sense of distance and loneliness, on the other side closeness and love. It absolutely is drama filled with emotions but after you end the movie there is a big appreciation for those humorous scenes that made you laugh even though consciousness is hitting you like, It's bad, This is sad, Don't forget what you are watching and then you are back to sadness that this story is giving you all along.

Let's just say that Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver are so beautifully great and keep pulling you to each side with their emotional roller coaster that Noah has put them on and they deserve all praises for their performance. Each of them brings their talents that are amazing that they can play whatever they want. Hands up one of the best duos (male-female) that is charismatic, profound andd emotional to the skies.

Brilliant, Emotional, Powerful. 4/4

Paul Walter Hauser and Sam Rockwell are brilliant
30 January 2020
Combine powerful story, Clint Eastwood as director and our leads (Paul Walter Hauser, Sam Rockwell and Kathy Bates), you find yourself on powerful drama that depicts all emotions that people might have felt when it all was happening.

Clint Eastwood seems like he is just looking for stories that might have been forgotten or haven't been heard enough or may have been dropped under the radar and puts them in your face to relive and re-watch it on big screens and boy did he do it with this one.

Following a wrongfully accused Richard Jewell as he and his mother are going through scrutiny and pain that it causes to the hero that saved dozens and dozens of lives by being himself. While watching there is a kind of unusual feeling of how imagining of Richard and his behaviour is, but his soul was so clean that you just can't past it and not feel for him. Pushing your benefits without realising how it may affect others and purely for your ego is also pretty good shown. Media is today's most powerful source of information and if being controlled or misleading it causes a real damage to people which can magnify already great suffering to magnitudes that no can imagine unless they feel it and we are there to witness it from second hand because of performances that seem like they have been thrown aside.

Performances in this movie are profound and it looks like there is not enough attention being focused toward it and that might be because of media that is trying to defend themselves of being good when they are not. Kathy Bates plays mother of Richard and is absolutely great on screen. You get the feeling of your mother being proud or sad or angry or devastated with her brilliant show in there. Sam Rockwell plays attorney that defended Richard and believed in him. There is no doubt that Sam is one of the best actors right now, as he moves, acts in a way that you can't resist his charm and dedication. Finally, the star, Paul Walter Hauser that is Richard Jewell and boy is he good. This is a great performance by him and his talent is finally coming to light with teeth-gritting, nail-bitting, at moments boyish innocent charm. There is nothing to not like about him, you can just sit, relax and enjoy.

Brilliant, emotional, profound. 4/4

Edward is there to keep you seated
29 January 2020
Motherless Brooklyn is all written and directed by Edward but also he is main character and he makes this movie work because of all that. Set in old NY it follows a Lionel (Edward Norton) as he is trying to figure out who killed his boss and uncovers big secrets along the way.

Production and design of NY in 50s is pretty great in both tone and atmosphere. Norton takes us on a pretty long journey of almost two and a half hours and along the way everybody might find something that they like. There are some pretty decent characters to explore and follow, sometimes it even seems like there might be more into the mob world that we don't see. But don't be fooled it is quiet long movie and very slowly paced so it takes a lot to watch it.

Cast is also very good as we have some pretty familiar faces like Alec Baldwin, who is great as he plays villainous character and his intro was quiet tense. WIllem Dafoe, whos secrets we slowly unfold as the story goes. Bobby Cannavale, giving his classic performance that you would expect. A very little bit of Bruce Willis, which is honestly shame as there could be a great potential. There is also brilliant Gugu Mbatha-Raw, she is just great alongside Edward Norton who keeps you there for his performance, cause he is great actor and he always manages to prove it.

It's quiet complex story for 140 minutes but it's well written and paced not awfully but so slowly and there seems like some scenes could be replaced with other ones for greater effect and storytelling. It's giving you pieces of information but not fast enough and it sometimes seems like you might wait 30 minutes to get some decent piece of info.

It has great cinematography but is badly paced with great story that some crime movies could be envy of. 3/4

It's just GREAT
24 January 2020
In like 30 years into future people will probably talk about this movie that is how great it is. Following two young soldiers go into journey that will save many lives in "one shot" is the peak of the movie making in 21st century.

This masterpiece must be praised for a lot things.

One shot filming is beyond this world and words can't describe how it makes you feel. Because scenes feel so long and takes take so much time tension and actions of our characters are elevated. Moving camera through so many things and obstacles that cinematographer Roger Deakins faced and his solution for every scene is brilliant and even if you try to pick point where he cuts, slides, fades camera is difficult. How time goes you realise that our characters are going to face more and more difficult things and the thing that just keeps you tight in seat.

Each "set" or scene has its own gems and gives different feelings. From scary to tense to death threatening to relaxed to heaven like to tragic feelings it just has no flaws and it is because of how much all actors rehearsed and knew exactly what to do and when gives you emotional rollercoaster.

Directing of the movie of this proportions looks like just hardcore moviemaking and it feels like it would be so hard and you are right it had to be very difficult to move so many pieces to get perfect scenes that feel flawless and flowing like river.

Let's not forget that you are getting teased by story and how it always manages to throw you off certain feelings and emotions to another ones that might even be opposite it like 2 minutes time. It's so simple premise yet done in such fashion that will keep you interested whole time. Movie is 2 hours long and it feels like you have witnessed whole day in 2 hours.

Performances are great even though they are not center of point but two young actors George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman are great at what they are doing. There are also scenes with Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Andrew Scott and Benedict Cumberbatch that are fantastic, just fantastic.

Beautiful, powerful, moving, tense and will keep you hooked to your bones. 4/4

Dark Waters (2019)

It's powerful story
24 January 2020
What an amazing story this movie offers. Main point of watching this magnificent movie is that story just keeps on giving and add Mark Ruffalo to that as we know Mark has a strong acting skills in dramas and performs like a genius you get an emotional ride.

Big corporate lawyer coming down to small people and giving them attention they so much deserve and providing them with support that will tend to destroy his family life but amount of respect that he feels like those people need overcomes that to point of him losing it and coming back as strong as he did is profound.

Dark Waters really dives into dark waters and just goes through them without stopping, filling you with emotional scenes and unfortunate events just makes you feel sick and caring for people that suffered. Greed, money and profit are worst things that will kill reasonable thinking but humanity will try to fight back and people are there to overcome all barriers. This movie touches all aspects of humanity and what means to care about something and someone and how much are individuals prepared to sacrifice to get all dark, bad and dirty things beaten.

People making this movie absolutely understand how to dose information to be well presented and how to make you feel for everybody. They feed you certain thing and then make you watch how it destroy people so you just can't stay cold to that. Director Todd Haynes is fabulous in dramatic movies and he proves it over and over again.

Even after movie ends if you haven't been so much in the theme and kind of forgotten how it went and what was going on at the time, you are so touched by things that big corporates are doing then and now also but there need to be someone like Robert Billot (Mark Ruffalo) that will bring attention and sacrifice his time to help others. His persistency is what brought us changes and facts about how we are being used in the most disgusting ways. 3.5/4

It's different but...
24 January 2020
Guy Ritchie is guy you either love or you don't, he has his style and he like to use it so don't be mad at him because he is doing it very good. It's another kinda dark, gritty, bloody, messy but quite enjoyable piece by Guy.

Set in UK, it follows different narrative than usual for storytelling sake and it can be quite fun, somewhat predictable but fun. It gives you feeling like you are in the third person there and watching show that just keeps giving something to hold onto and keep you interested. There is also plenty of humor that sometimes is childish but mostly is pretty good and fits the scenes.

The moment when you see tracksuit guys you in for the ride, there is no doubt that they will fail as they are absolutely wacky characters and perform things that you would expect from them. Colin Farrell being one of them is mesmerising, you can watch him speak with his accent and it's great. His character (Coach) will leave you laughing to your bones cause it's bloody dark and beautiful comedy if you have that kind of wiring for humor.

Now the rest of guys are also pretty good, starting with McCounaghey playing our lead (Mickey Pearson). He is great you can't hold anything against him because he's a go guy for these kind of things also Hunnam playing Ray is tough, scary, funny and just a gold to watch. Hugh Grant is also pretty good at what he does sometimes you would wish his character (Fletcher) was a bit smarter but he fits at his place.

Writing and telling this story is just classical Guy Ritchie style that even if you didn't know it was him that did this you would probably guess him if you saw any of his movies. His directing skills and writing are pretty much all the same but in this movie he has a bit different approach to certain things and there are instances where he magnifies humor with them which is greatly appreciated.

It's funny, back to his roots movie with bloody and confrontational scenes that yell its crime comedy even though it's not what you might expect but it is very enjoyable. 3.5/4

Well ...
19 December 2019
There is always fascination with movies that manage to capture real sense of what they want to portray and how to show us their charcters in battle over their good or bad, right or wrong, but to go into a universe that was once delightfully created and experience this kind of pain while watching Rise of Skywalker is frustrating. 30, 40 years ago we had a balance that Star Wars provided and now we have a ship full of holes that is meant to sink, but it doesn't seem like anybody cares and that is even worse thing.

Leaving the theatre speechless to monstrosities that have been shown on screen and feeling like maybe it's just me but then realising it's everybody around, it's like everybody doesn't even care about anything. They jsut want to see thing burn, explode, flashing lights all over, pointless scenes that inspire no tension, fear or any sort of feeling, you just sit there and watch like motionless human. To say you have to have a little imagination and spend a moment or two to actually remember is absurd, because you are treated like: "Don't think, just watch" and it just doesn't work beacuse there are people that care and love to see movies, movies ment something to them, maybe even helped them discover something about themselves.

The Rise of Skywalker feels like it shoud have been 3h+ long and have full scenes, beautifully choreographed, with meaning and sense that provides us satisfaction of watching something that we actually love. Instead it's 2h 20min of chopped scenes, that will drive you to boredom and then when you are there will drop you a piece of dialogue that will make you wonder how is it even possible to make it like that.

In all fairness it is not bad but it is horrendous how lame and unimaginitive it is with constant trying of giving you feel of melancholia. Somehow it just doesn't work, Rey, Finn, Poe all seem like they don't care, they just weant to move but they actually don't care about anything and there isn't much to care given what they are working with. Same goes for Kylo played by Adam Driver, but at least he is trying his best to work something out and fails at the end.

CGi looks amazing and how they make it on screen, with so much effort but are so unimaginative that we need to look at something and just feel nothing. All blows, thunderstorm, water and all the created thing to improve cinematography are absolutely great.

Making a movie just for sake of making a movie or sequel or prequel is absolutely riddiculous and show never be done, but they just don't care.

It's just bad, bad movie that will maybe make money and make a lot of people angry for watching it, but it all comes to money. Everybody wants it but everbody in long run will not have it, those who learn on their mistakes will and those that make same will not.

Beautiful CGi followed by dull dialogues and story with overall feeling of nothing is the best description of watching The Rise of Skywalker. 1/4

Joker (I) (2019)
10/10
Finally a movie we deserve!
9 October 2019
Joker will draw you into his madness and sociopathy that will make you question everything. Todd and Joaquin bring us a masterpiece of human nature and how person is shaped by events that are happening to them.

Joker is a dramatic piece that will be understood by regular people and seen in grey areas and not only black and white. It's about human tortures and dramatic events that happen all around us but we pretend like everything is fine. Joker dives deep into dark teritories and pushes boundaries with extreme violence but shows us why is everything happening and how our protagonist is dealing with information given to him. Arthur Fleck is a disturbed man which is evident from beginning but as story goes you find to learn more about him and how he is only trying to find its way in the crazy world.

There are multiple possibilites for someone if they pursue them, they might not be the best but Arthur chooses one that he feels most comfortable with and his sense of comedy and darkness is unique but who are we to put his hopes and dreams down. Joaquin's commitmend to role is extraordinary, he pushes boundaries with his dedication for characters place and feelings. It is absolutely magnificent to watch him present us Arthur in all his colors and shades as he is mesmerasing, deceving and twisted.

Todd moving from his regular comedy type movies and going full drama, choosing Joker (DC comics based character) and putting him in real world with real people insted of fictional universe is praise worth and him developing such a intriguing story that will feel like you are watching some regular drama inspired by time and day we live in. We live in sick and hard times but we choose to fight and overcome everything but there will always be other ones that are not capable of doing it and it will make them mad. Insted seeing this movie as movie that can make people do bad things it should make them see that bad things are not acceptable and how they make things dark and chaotic. and will always end in personal destruction.

Directing and writing of Joker is marvellous from every point, it may not be the smart as some movies but it is captivating and makes you wonder all the time how things are going to happen and how they might have happened. Todd may have started his new path into greater film making and it will be interesting to see what he has to offer in the upcoming years.

Dark, twisted and magnificent are the best words to describe the movie. 10/10

Anna (II) (2019)

Anna (Léon): The Professional or not?
20 June 2019
After 25 years, we are presented with new insight into Luc's world of action and espionage that will take bumpy rides, maybe not always go as planned but it is a journey worth sticking and giving attention. Anna, starts as an innocent movie and twists us onto its paths that lead all over and back and forward. It's set in time where KGB and CIA are operating at peak level and hauls our main character Anna into its world. Maybe it will end where you imagined it going or maybe it will go totally different way but you'll have to stick to the end to witness it and there will definitely be different opinions on movie and how it turned out. Now Anna has a lot to offer some decent choreographed action scenes as far as going to replicate most recent action movies in quiet same fashion but this time putting female protagonist. Anna (Sasha Luss) gives a pretty amazing performance considering this to be her first big movie we may be interested seeing more from her in future. Other leads that follow her like Mr. Evans, Mr. Murphy and Mrs. Mirren are pretty good touch to movie and expose their talents on screen that we may not seen yet. Idea behind movie looks familiar if you start to compare it to recent action thriller movies and there is question is it necessary to ask yourself, Do we really need another movie like this? As it turns out it has a lot to offer plot wise and as acting goes but when it goes into directing it gets really choppy and there are moment when you wonder is it the same man directing the whole movie. Predictability that lies behind the movie can't be forgotten because you might find yourself in position where you figure a lot stuff before it happens and it can be annoying. All in all it goes from interesting ride to boring one and then again into interesting which will put you in seat for a ride that will potentially satisfy you at the end. Action scenes are something to appreciate and plot turns and twists that will take you at many places. 2.5/4

Impressive work of art
1 February 2019
You might say it is not explicit but arguably it might as well be a great piece of art that Dan Gilroy presented us here. This man (Gilroy) never seems to stop amaze us with something new and originally and now he steppes into endeavours of new horror, projecting us a great movie for start of this month. Netflix movie that will make you bite your tongue sometimes of how harsh it can be but also maybe disappoint you at times how dark and terrifying it could have been. Following Morf (Jake Gyllenhaal) on his journey of criticising art in way that many wouldn't know how to look even it is all destined to go down. In the world filled with money, opportunities, twist, greed and desire to be the success we are presented with couple of lives that will go south and never return from there. Velvet Buzzsaw perfectly describes movie from the start to the end, but in a good way because of how things will unfold and how everybody is vulnerable in the storm of something darker and much bigger. Still there are moments that will leave you wandering for answers and clues as you have no idea of how things got to be and unnecessary scenes that could have been used for something more important as expanding the plot. Directing of movie is absolutely art-crafted, word-less and truly amazing. There are shots that will leave you speechless and stunned how amazing they look and how they present scene. Also worth mentioning is how twisty and tricky movie gets and moving towards the end you start to feel even more agitated of what will happen. Considering it to be horror movie there are some gore and dark moments that will everybody appreciate but and there is a but it could have been even more terrifying and compete to great horror movies, instead it relies on thriller moments which feel too much. Not to say it's a bad movie, it is not, it is very interesting one worth investing you time to see in because there is something new presented in it and will leave you amazed. Dark, gore and twisty are best three words to describe it. 4/5

Kudos to idea
28 January 2019
Idea behind interactive movie seems crazy right? Netflix decided to put it to good use and give us the first interactive movie with choice of taking your own path while watching a movie. They get a great deal of points for that but we need to be realistic about all this, they said it was a 5 hours of movie filmed and put together in various ways that you will be able to move around. All that seems groundbreaking, heartwarming, exciting but there is always a but and now you will find out something that might disappoint you. Writing a movie like this is very hard that must be said and if you really want to make this you need to put director that is capable of providing a point of view that will actors get and understand. To be fair it is quite a movie, but it never fully delivers you feeling like you are in control, know what I mean? It often offers you path that has an end and brings you back to cross point and offers you choices again so you are forced to take some path. You all might not think that is something that would bother you, after that happens more than once you will be angry. They made an interesting story and got a whole lot of things to be working as a solid machine but all imperfections of movie will bug you because after all it is called Choose-your-own-adventure movie but it doesn't offer you path for some actions instead brings you back. Looking back at movie now you could possibly finish whole movie within 60 minutes of watching which will be too short to attach to characters and really giver you chance to connect with their actions. Story that follows our main character is great there is no doubt about that but with some changes it might have been one of the best movies that you could watch thanks to interaction and your desire to do something that maybe character wouldn't usually do or have done. It will be pretty exciting to see next movie that will feature your interaction on this levels with choosing a path of story. Now the thing that you will love is some of the decisions that you have to make. There are couple of scenes when you are forced to choose path and either decision is pretty terrifying and depending on how you feel you are going to choose that. Finally it would be pretty amazing if we could have a movie that we can only watch once with certain path that we took, that would make some difference than this way when we can chose and repeat and go back because if we are forced to make decision that will be permanent it would have greater impact on what you choose. 3/4

South Wind (2018)

Must see movie!
28 January 2019
Juzni Vetar or South Wind is a Serbian crime movie and considering that majority of movies from this side of the Europe are comedy or satirical movies this one really lives up to it's potential. Milos Avramovic, the director, puts up movie about dark underground inside Serbia and while watching this movie you will feel the goosebumps of gritty and dark moments that might be too much for some people. Featuring some of the great actor talents from that part of Europe, you will appreciate everything that they are doing and how good it is done. It could be easily said that it is one of the best written movies recently published in Balkan area (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bulgaria). It will absolutely give you the realistic idea of how things are done here or were being done which is not a good thing but in movie such as this it works perfectly. Milos Bikovic (Petar) is the main character in the movie and that guy proved how good he is because his performance will you stunned. There are also others that help elevate movie to another levels and one of them is Srdjan Todorovic (Jani) that gave a comedic aspect to movie that was so much needed in some moments because of how dark this movie is. While watching this movie you will not take your eyes of it and if you like action with violence that is really shown on screen you will love this one because there is plenty for you. It was a dark, gritty, bloody and violently spectacular. 3.5/4
