8 ½ Women (1999)
terrible, terrible terrible
I am giving this pretentious piece of garbage a 1 simply because i don't believe there is a worse movie in the world.
I hate this movie, i hate the acting, dialog, setting, writing and directing. I hope everyone that was involved in this movie burns and rots in the darkest circle of hell.
Damn this disgusting waste of time.
I pray every day that this movie is just a figment of my imagination. i pray that i dreamt the movie, and that i will never have to see it at
my local video store again.
BURN IN HELL
Disaster Movie (2008)
There's just no point anymore
Really, I could write a scathing review of this turd sandwich, but instead, I'm just going to be making a few observations and points I've deduced.
There's just no point in watching these movies anymore. Does any reader out there remember Scary Movie? Remember how it was original with a few comedic elements to it? There was slapstick, some funny lines, it was a pretty forgettable comedy, but it was worth the price of admission. Well, That was the last time this premise was funny. STOP MAKING THESE MOVIES. PLEASE.
I could call for a boycott of these pieces of monkey sh*t, but we all know there's going to be a line up of pre pubescent annoying little buggers, spouting crappy one liners like, "THIS IS SPARTA!" and, "IM RICK JAMES BITCH" so these movies will continue to make some form of monetary gain, considering the production value of this movie looks like it cost about 10 cents to make.
Don't see this movie. Don't spend any money on it. Go home, rent Airplane, laugh your ass off, and then silently judge the people that are talking about this movie on Monday. Do yourself a favor.
Platoon (1986)
In one word.. Powerful
"Platoon", simply put, is one of the best movies I have ever had the privilege of seeing. Besides the incredible performances of Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger and Willem Dafoe, the music sets the perfect mood. The cinematography and directing are superb, and as you watch the transformation of Sheen's character, from a doe eyed, naive young soldier to an animal. His metamorphisis is astounding, as you watch the innocence washed from his face, replacing it with blood. Perhaps the most interesting part of this movie is that the major part of the war isn't between the vietnamese and the Americans; it's the Americans against themselves. Tom berenger is perfect in his character. The hate you build for him is incredible, and by the end of the movie, you want Sheen to kill him. You don't want the court system to take Berenger to justice, you want to see him shot, and die in the Vietnam jungle.
Oliver stone delivers one of the greatest cinematic accomplishments ever captured on film. Simply put, it's one of the most powerful, thought provoking films ever made.
Friday Night Lights (2006)
A mockery of what was a terrific movie
For those who have yet to watch the TV series "Friday Night Lights", go in with low expectations. And hopefully you're a fan of teen drama crap like "Laguna Beach" and "The O.C.", because that's basically what you have here, except that they've whored out an exceptional movie to make this trash.
The original Friday Night Lights was so popular because it was so incredibly real. As a Senior high school football player myself, i was blown away at the realistic game footage, and the gritty looks at injuries and the drama at school you face. The camera work from the original was also the perfect way to capture it all.
Enter "Friday Night Lights" the TV series. They have kept the camera work, and lost everything else. The story now revolves around uninteresting bimbo's and morons, and of course everyone that attends this high school has to be a model. The footage of the football game is adequate, yet they decide to throw commercial breaks in between completely idiotic times to take you out of the show. And those games you see? the one game every 2 weeks you see? that's going to be all the football you get from this show, as the rest is about who is going to take who to the prom.
In the end, if you are a 13 year old pre pubescent girl, you will find this show interesting. Hopefully this show is not watched and it will be erased from the memories of people before the name "Friday Night Lights" is ruined forever.
