Expend4bles (2023)
Meh!!
This franchise has gone straight down.
First film lacked a good story. But had some nice action.
Simple plot and played an humble homage to the 80's action movies. Muscles, guns, explosions and gore..
Now with the fourth. It just seems lazy and a plain moneygrab. Phoned in script and plotholes everywhere.
Twists were obvious. The cast did what they could to keep the acting running smooth. But from the look of things. No one had a dog in this game. Probably contractually obligated to reprise their characters.
Directly after this screening I sat in on Denzel's Equalizer 3. That saved my night.
Seven Kings Must Die (2023)
A respectful send-off to an iconic character
Loved this closing chapter of Uhtreds story.
Honestly! I first thought that the story ended with the last season of the series. But as soon I was reached with the news that the story would be concluded with a full feature film. I was blown away..
With so many series getting canceled.
Either from the screaming and raving leftist facists. Where their fragile minds can't identify with the characters. Regardless they are historical or fictual.
OR abide that the world throughout history worked without all "modern values" that's mandatory nowadays.
Or the threat of disrespectful networks and streaming services, just dropping series mid-story.
Chances are great, that the viewer embark on a journey that never gets an end.
So! I sincerely crossed my fingers (and heart), that this epic saga would make it to the end line.
And I followed the series through the years with great hopes.
I am a thankfull fan of the series. That the series concluded with this chapter. This film, closing the saga didn't disappoint.
Dune World (2021)
An embarrasing cottail ride
Probably the only positive contribution that internet-piracy of movies has done to the entertainment industry. Is to starve the industry of B(minus) movies that rides cottails on big budget features. So people doesn't get tricked renting the wrong movie because of misleading titles.
Because who would watch this utter waste of precious time of ones existence.
The time we have in our existence is finite.
And I just spend two minutes of my existence trashing this movie review. That's how bad it is!!
I just saved you 70 minutes of your LIFE..
Go spend it well.. By watching paint dry or what ever.
Cheers.
Barry (2018)
Barry has me hooked...
This one has it all.
Well written comedy that flows between easy and simple,,, into to complex and dark.
And then goes of the deep side in to dramatic situations. The next second it spinns up in a thriller-mode-conflict creating unsettling threads...
My "Breaking Bad" and "This is Saul" withdrawal-problems got a good fix in Barry's wonderfull company 🤘😎🤙
This is a show that demands ones attention..
She Dies Tomorrow (2020)
Just die already.. Please get it done... So we can watch something else instead...
W... T... F!!!
Productions as this should be aborted at the pitch meeting.
Where is the kind of regulation to not waste the time, money and/or resources in productions as this.
I would guess Greta is NOT amused to learn how much Co2 this production,,, -produced...
The 1hr and 25min running time is better spent watching a bucket of paint with its lid on. Watching paint dry would be over doing it... :-/
