Pure Genius (2016)
Oh The Possibilities!!!!
This show could end up being on of the greatest ever!!! So far, I have loved it. and it also has amazing potential as well. This show hit me right in the heart. My profession being in the tech world and my brother's profession in the medical world, this show hit home with me right away. While most of the outcomes of the first few episodes are relatively predictable, it didn't bother me because this show is about innovation, subtle character developments and lovable people. I honestly think this show has so much potential. Please watch it and post reviews.
The marketing needs to do something for this show. It has the huge possibility of being greatly profitable if the writers add a bit more drama and marketing put the show out there as one of their best new shows.
Falling Skies: Reborn (2015)
Hastened, yet fitting ending
This was a solid ending to a series that wavered multiple times throughout its tenure (get it?? teacher joke). My initial reaction was one of frustration due to the fact that he characters I have watched the last five seasons are now gone. However, I am kind of glad Falling Skies is over, and this is as fitting on an ending as could be mustered given the way the series has faltered the last two seasons. It ended on a note that the first two seasons held throughout their entirety. While there series as a whole might deserve a lower rating, the ending was a good as the best I have seen. My only big qualm with the ending is that it felt absurdly hastened and it should have included at least one more episode. It ended as it should.
Star Wars Rebels: Fire Across the Galaxy (2015)
Disney proves it can handle the Star Wars franchise
This episode of Star Wars Rebels is by far one of the greatest cinematic experiences ever given by Star Wars. When Disney first took over the Star Wars franchise, I was very worried. This finale shows that they are ready to take the reigns from mastermind George Lucas. And makes me more excited for The Force Awakens than ever before! Let's dig in...
The lightsaber fight! One of, if not the single best lightsaber fight ever put on screen by Star Wars...I mean Disney. Its up there with Anakin vs Obi-Wan Ep3, Maul vs Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn Ep1, Vader vs Luke Ep5&6, and any of the best ones from SW The Clone Wars. Kanan and Ezra take on the Inquisitor. At first the fight seems very lopsided, though the shock on his face when Kanan uses Ezra's saber as a blaster was incredible. The Inquisitor easily takes on both. He then takes out Ezra. Oh no! Unlike the anger we see Obi-Wan show when Maul takes out Jinn in Ep1, Kanan's resolve was incredible. He says something to the Inquisitor (in reference to Ezra's fall) along the lines of, "Now I have nothing to fear." He uses both his and Ezra's sabers. Eventually wins, slicing the double- bladed spinning saber in half, then the Inquisitor is defeated.
Then after this incredible lightsaber duel, the rebels escape the Stardestroyer. Only to be saved from an onslaught of tie fighters by a couple unknown ships, blockade runners included! A New Hope reference? Yes! Bail Organa hologram shows up, his appearance is completely overshadowed by none other than Ashoka Tano herself. She's back! I was so overwhelmed with excited, only to be made even further ecstatic by Gen. Moff Tarkin himself introducing Darth Vader as the solution to these rebels.
I'm so ready for Season 2. Is the Inquisitor really dead? What's next for Kanan and Ezra? Ashoka's back! Vader to play a bigger role?? Ashoka vs Vader???? Bring it on.
