Don't Worry Darling (2022)
Stunning visuals
It is a long time since I saw such a classy and atmospheric movie. A very positive review from my side because of the stunning visuals, completely trippy dansing shots come to mind, there is no good way to describe these, just watch! Cinematography, music and top-notch acting all work together to result in a compelling experience. It's a slow burning thriller too, there is something off, more and more, but what? The plot is perhaps not the best point of this movie, but this didn't spoil the movie for me. The strong visuals, acting and the uncanning mystery aspect kept my attention from start to finish. And that is very very rare nowadays. More of these! I love it...

The Perfection (2018)
Old school craftmanship
Cinematographically this movie stands out and most of the acting is top notch. Plenty of plot twists, sunspense and black humor. This movie is more fun than 95% of the netflix pulp. It slowly builds up but is never boring. Just old school quality WELL DONE!
Vår tid är nu (2017)
Best series since bb and bcs
Very good atmosphere top notch acting and great utterly believable yet dramatic story lines. Characters are complex and not one dimensial, like good and bad guys. For me the best experience since Breaking Bad and Better call Saul.
Appiness (2018)
Loved it
Good IT startup comedy. As a rather critical cinephile I find it harder and harder to discover watchable movies. Liked this one. It's funny but not over the top, touch of tragedy, good acting. Don't expect a hilarious thigh slapper and you will be fine.
Klem (2017)
Many series fall short...
...in the Netflix era, but this one stands out. Best TV series since BB en Better call Saul. The acting is at a very high level and the characters are not black and white but complex. The main bad guy is as much victim as he is criminal. He wants to be a good husband and father. But his past keeps him hostage, he is blackmailed so he has to blackmail others. As cinephile I think this brilliant series deserves world wide attention. Is it perfect? No but I have not seen one lame episode. Van Derwig and Atsma are pretty brilliant
Django Unchained (2012)
Visually good but shallow story
Visually OK, but the story has the depth and credibility of a comic book. Sort of like Kill Bill. Slightly absurd dialogs, extreme violence, sometimes for no reason at all. A man is shot in the heart, because he insisted his hand was shaken to finalize a deal. Yeah, right. Completely moronic, and this results in an escalation of violence where the shooter himself and five other guys get killed. Uh uh. This is comic book level folks, come on. Fourteen year old kids will probably like it. I expect more from a movie, ideally I hope to forget everything around me and get sucked in the story. But for that to happen the acting has to be good (no complaints here) and the story has to have some "depth" to be credible. A B-story with A actors.
