I loved the first 3 seasons. I was starting to lose interest mid-season 4 but season 5 has lost me completely. I understand diversity but it's almost offensive to replace an African American actress and an Asian American actress with the exact same race in the exact same supporting role. It feels like they are trying too hard to be politically correct at the expense of keeping a realistic story line. The recast of Ana-Kat has also fallen seriously flat. Ghiselle Eisenberg is an excellent little actress but she's an odd fit for this particular sitcom.

Why All The Confusion and Hate??!!

This is my first IMDB review. I am so surprised by the media coverage of all the fans that are "confused" by the premise of BH90210. What is there to be confused about?? This is clearly a new concept of a fan-favorite 90s tv show. The original cast is playing duel roles; the characters they played on the original Beverly Hills 90210 tv show as well as fictional versions of their real lives. The creators of this re-boot created fictional back stories of the actors that slightly poke fun of all the silly tabloid stories that have floated around for the past 30 years.
I found the platform original and entertaining. Beverly Hills 90210 had a huge impact on the fashion, music and attitudes of 90s teens. BH90210 gives die hard fans a piece of fun, flirty entertainment.
