Birdemic: Shock and Terror (2010)
Aahm. .. kind of ... sh.t.
The storyline is quite good, the visual effects are awful. The eagles actually attacking the people around are actually images. They are not even lighted well. No consequences at all. Nonsense, this movie is just nonsense. Grammatical difficulties in the dialogs, illogical scene order. Even bad actors. Bad cut, bad after-work. If I can advise you something, please don't crucify yourself with watching that film. However, if you watch through that all, you can say 'I've just wasted my time to watch the two parts of Birdemic, yeah man! :) ' Just walk your dog, cat, goldfish... something... I can assure you, You will not enjoy that film because of the failed special effects. Terrible. There's a scene where the forest is burning... Lighting spots on trees, with gray lines (smoke). Very sad.
Macskafogó (1986)
Incredibly good.
A good plot, exciting, and very imaginative, strong characters with the voices of the bests of the hungarian actors, and with very imaginative puns.
It's not like an anime, or an animated movie like today's ones. The filmmakers were put their hearts to the cartoon, and made it living. It's like a James Bond, or Die Hard or some action hero movie, when The Guy survives the most dangerous attacks, and at the end of the film he gets the lady. However, everything is implanted to a very exciting cartoon movie, with a good selection of film music composers.
I was about 8 when I saw it first, I went absolutely bananas :D Great movie! Watch it! :)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (2012)
Good. Very enjoyable for LOTR fans.
Actually, I've already written everything in the summary.
Technical background is 10 out of 10. I rarely do some film cutting, my eyes were noticed the 48 fps. It is not like soap operas' frame rate, it is more than that. It makes the image living.
Landscapes are beautiful, characters appear from the main Lord of the Rings story, not for a long time, but Gandalf, who is a main character of the film also.
For a Lord of the Rings fan it's an almost-three-hour-experience of Tolkien's amazing world, and for an average guy, it's a good film for relaxing at home after work.
Inception (2010)
Very Good!
That's a very amazing film. A little bit long, but good enough to fulfill this gap. It touches you, makes you think, and get interested. It shows a kind of world, that may exits, or may not, but it doesn't matter.
The main thing is: I wasn't really a DiCaprio fan. But in Inception I liked his attitude. Not the usual handsome guy, making more and more girls fall in love with him, no. His character is a disappointed man, who tries to distort a feeling, that doesn't let him live well, and he tries it in a world, what is built by himself.
I can only encourage You to Watch it! Many times! ;)
Grown Ups (2010)
Good
I think that's not a typical Adam Sandler movie. For instance Big Daddy, and Mr. Deeds were those kinds of movies, where Adam Sandler is shown as The Hero of The Movie. The main character, who always solves the conflicts.
But in this film he is surrounded with such strong characters as Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Kevin James and David Spade. So the power's getting balanced in this film, and the gags are very well-pointed, and perfectly timed.
Who wants a good comedy when he/she arrives at home after work, he/she's going to really enjoy this! :)
