Masked and Anonymous (2003)
Most star-studded TV movie ever
Despite being weird and artistic, this could be excused if the cinematography (and editing/dialogue.lighting etc.) were professional (not to hope for exceptional), instead of being on a par with third-tier TV series or made-for-TV movies. One cannot comprehend how so many A-list actors agreed to be a part of this thing, even for minimal screen time, but help wonder if these didn't forego their usual fees, and if not, if just one actor could have been dropped to finance some professional equipment (and crew). If you are a Bob Dylan fan, and like bizarre films and are not a stickler for plots to make a whole lot of sense, then I can see you wanting to watch this, but otherwise, spare yourself the two hours.
E noi come stronzi rimanemmo a guardare (2021)
Series of funny ideas, but with little coherence or flow
While the film presents itself with an interesting premise, related to the dehumanization and exploitation of labor from modern technology, it ends up being executed as a bunch of sketches, tied together by force, without a continuous plot line that makes sense. The hook for the setup of the starting conflict of the story is explained after-the-fact, in a short flashback, which means that from the start the viewer is unsure as to what is the actual central plot of the film, or not.
There are many funny bits, which you can enjoy if you are not caught up in being frustrated by the parts in the movie that make no sense.
Sleeping with the Enemy (1991)
Worst death in the history of cinema
While the movie itself is decent, with Julia Roberts just before or at her peak, the whole thing is really undone by the most ridiculous death scene at the end. Way to ruin the movie (or for those curious, worth watching just for this ridiculousness.)
Robot Trains (2017)
Not even a kids' show about trains has to be violent
While looking for something for my 3 year old, since he likes trains, this seemed like a reasonable choice. Instead, it turned out to be another Korean show with fighting and violence. Maybe worth watching if skipping straight to season 2.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019)
Amazing post-credit scenes
While the movie itself is not worthy of a review, given how uninspiring it is, and at best lets you feel part of a secret club because you get the references to the other movies J&SB are in, the scenes after the movie actually ends are all PHENOMENAL. It's almost as if the best scenes from the entire movie were cut and put aside to show during the credits. I've never seen anything like it, and for anyone that doesn't make it through it, you absolutely miss out on the best parts (that also dont make much sense unless you watch the mediocre movie itself).
PPS. The best gag in the whole movie is after al the post-credit scenes, so don't miss that either.
Just in Time for Christmas (2015)
The worst Christmas movie ever?
I don't think I have ever reviewed a movie before but this just gave me no other choice. Using the premise of "a Christmas Carol" sounds like a good idea, but when 1. the two options are not clearly better or worse than each other 2. not even significantly different from each other and 3.dont lead to the protagonist immediately rushing to "fix her mistake and make the right choice", this movie fails to have any reason to exist.
