Big Money Hustlas (2000)
For ICP fans only
If you check out the ratings for this film, you should get why you should only watch it if you like ICP.
The majority of votes are for 10/10 and then almost all of the other votes are for 1/1
Obviously, the hardcore ICP fans have convinced themselves that this film is brilliant as it stars their clown heroes and have been the main contributers to the vote.
Anyone who doesn't like ICP or is indifferent will have probably have given it 1/1, as there is really nothing good about this film.
The storyline is weak and barley exists anyway. It could be compared in its intelligence to a very poor episode of Scooby Doo.
It is also filled with the usual sexism etc. you get from the "Wicked Clowns."
Avoid this film at all cost if you are not an ICP fan !
Into the West (2005)
The best made for TV movie ever made (in my opinion)
This made for TV movie was so good, I had to watch all 6 one and a half hours parts back to back with only short breaks in between a few episodes.
Into the West opens with a very graphically impressive sequence that really give you a feel of the times. This is carried on throughout the whole series. Everything about the film is as if it were from the time that the film depicts. Never does modern America rear its ugly head.
The acting is also of a very high quality, which is very impressive considering the film has many times more actors than your average film. One thing that does take away from this was the need for the use of older actors to give the characters the appearance of aging. For some of the more obscure characters, it is sometimes difficult to tell who's who.
As for the storyline, you could expect noting less from William Mastrosimone. It is packed with emotion, adventure, action, oppression and history.
With the beautiful scenery, what more could you want.
This film will be particularly popular with people who like films set in the past.
Hearts in Atlantis (2001)
Best film I have seen in ages
The basic story is that a boy who lives with her mother (probably in the 50's), have a mysterious man move in above them. The boy instantly becomes good friends with this strange, but interesting man (Anthony Hopkins). Over time the young boy becomes aware that this man is psychic. The "low men" (A.K.A. the government) are after him for his ability. This may sound like an action film, or just like many of the other terrible Stephen King films, but this film is without question a masterpiece. It has a very subtle, but extremely strong emotional feel to it. I would not be able to sum this up in words, as words are not powerful enough to express this. To find out what I mean you will need to watch it yoursefl ;). iF you are looking for a horror film, you are looking in the wrong place.
