Road House (2024)
Unfulfilling but fun
A hopeless disreputable ufc athlete gives the life one more chance as a hired help for a roadhouse troubles by it's owner. He found himself entangled by local mobsters and the rest is pretty much obvious. Nothing special about this movie although comedy and action are somewhat enjoyable. This acting part felt a bit repeated for Gyllenhaal but he's done an ok job. Not much is unexpected about storyline either besides the ending which felt unfulfilling for me with a simple line "so maybe you're not the hero, you ain't the villain either".
I was going for 6 stars but I gave 7 just for McGregor stupidly good or crazy appearance that I liked for some reason.
Ricky Stanicky (2024)
Oddly satisfying
It has been a long time since i laughed this much watching a movie to be honest. After the first act, it compelled me to slowly chuckle and enjoy the ride. This type of movies aren't categorize as great cinema by public opinion, but i believe it has a merit. It had purpose, twists, decent cast and real funny and satisfying scenes. Story was more or less original, kind and pure. Maybe they could have explored it more whereas it didn't felt like a two-hours movie. It's a confident 8/10 for me only cause I had a great time watching it. John Cena oddly "made me happy today" is a sentence I thought I'll never say!
Loki: Glorious Purpose (2023)
Glorious purpose
Finding his glorious purpose was the most satisfying thing that brought back glory to mcu universe. Everyone has a destiny, although it was bitter and sweet ending, it made me happy for him. He chose to sacrifice himself at the end of time.
On the other hand, Sylvie had a forgettable and unsatisfying role throughout this season playing human and not god. Even her last words to Loki and Mobius were shallow but Mobius himself was a crucial factor to story and he fulfilled his purpose. We all were waiting for one line that haven't hadn't been said. When Sylvie said to Mobius; it's weird that Loki isn't here, he should have responded; BUT HE IS HERE.
Overall, very enjoyable, great CGI, great acting by Tom Hiddleston.
Oppenheimer (2023)
The Untold
The thing about Nolan is, his vast knowledge and wisdom about his projects is like a double-edged sword. It's a blessing and a curse and beyond comprehension for most people, therefore many can't truely connect with his work in some levels.
Needless to say different opinions should be respected but calling it 'boring' is something that i'd rather not discuss further.
Nolan has a great universal awareness and scientific vision that we need in motion picture industry to rise it to the occasion.
Now about Oppenheimer, we all know nothing is perfect, but the flaws makes it memorable. The story needed many more hours for political coverage and character development, so perhaps series would have been a better choice? But Nolan doesn't do series so thats that, and It's a movie people, not a documentry so we can take a step back.
For this review I focused on some issues that less people had talked about, everything else has been said by my fellow wiser reviewers. Good luck!
Loki: Science/Fiction (2023)
I can re-write history
So if loki can control the time-slipping and it's not about time and space, but it's about the connection to people he love/care, is this means that he can go back before he attacked earth and prevent everything so we have avengers all together against much bigger enemy?
Is this put the whole marvel franchises story in different perspective?
We're gonna see him and thor double dating in future with their women?
It's alot to take in. Maybe I'm exited or maybe I don't know what I'm feeling right now. The story-line is getting too complicated with endless possibilities and I hope it doesn't get out of hand.
Sex Education: Episode 8 (2023)
So it's over just like that?
I don't think writers realised you need a conclusion or some meaning when you're ending a show😂😂😂
What was that? I was binge - watching and somehow realized there is no next episode!
Too many storys left wide open. What a joke and i'm changing my rating on the show from nine to six just for this. People should not waste their time like me!
Why? Just why?
Nothing happend. Literally nothing happened. That girl didn't get her surgery. Nothing happened for Otis and Otis's mom. What happened to Maeve? Adam's family? Ruby was cool with otis i guess and many people agree with this.
And again just saying what a waste of time.
Ted Lasso: The Strings That Bind Us (2023)
A complete episode
This episode had everything...
Amazing writing that covered politics, tactics and relationships in the best way.
Mass character development has been made
First. Lasso changing tactics & listening to Jamie's thought for the first time (about time! He's a prick, but an experienced player).
Second. Relations such as Nathan finally asking his crush out, Keeley & Jack and bond between teammates and sam's lovely father.
Third. Who's going to ignore Roy Kent's laughing? That d**k practice was hilarious. He has changed a lot! Even he realized it.
Definitely one of the top episodes this season. Enjoyed it.
Community (2009)
Cool show, cool,cool,cool
There should be a two parted rating option for this show as most people said, first 3 seasons are hilarious, exceptional & extraordinary written, covering every aspect of the this particular journey, but all of a sudden in season four or five I realized, I'm not pleased by watching it and felt sad (not gonna lie sometimes bored). Latest episodes of last season somewhat improved although I wasn't fully satisfied by the ending. I was hoping for something more I guess or not being fulfilled was the point of it?
As Abed said, dream about your version of season Seven, but don't tell anybody or it won't come true.
Overall it's a decent show it about troubled people growing together as a family or in some cases, not growing at all, But it's fine; It's all fine; You'll never know, when it's gonna be the best years of your life.
The Offer (2022)
Most Underappreciated Show Of All Time!
God damn it. Loved this show immediately since early hours of watching, and all of a sudden I realized, this show hasn't received any major credit and got shocked to my core! Why? Just why?
This is surly the most underappreciated and underrated show of television history and I felt sorry for myself that I started watching this show a Year after got released and I'm blaming everyone involved from publicists to social media and god knows who...
All this discontent aside, that had to be said for all motion pictures enthusiast (such as myself), this is a must watch show, and believe me, it's all worth your time.
This show offers you a fresh perspective to what's behind the curtain through eyes of a cast and crew that sacrificed everything in order to achieve their unique visions, hesitations and of course the cold reality of it, Money Making Business.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel: How to Chew Quietly and Influence People (2022)
Over acting mei!
Watching this show and came to realize, the actress who plays Mei over-acts a lot
Just look at her.. who found her & why is she so annoying and not appealing at all. And all of a sudden I am questioning the whole season of series, why nothing serious is happening to others besides Lucy, and we are on ep.#5 what happend to this show?
The storyline of side characters are so boring much of the time, the excitement is not there anymore and jokes are repetitive. The worst part is many viewers doesn't seems to notice this. If you want to see the peak of the show, rewatch season one and two But in my opinion this show is plunging this season.
Writers did the show dirty.
Don't Worry Darling (2022)
Ending didn't make much sense
The movie had lot's of great ideas and some brilliant acting for sure, but my main problem was with ending. Maybe instead of constantly showing psychological cut scenes, they could have pursue more about Frank (never understood what was he's wife's point was, when she said now it's my time before killing him.) and what comes after passing gateway.
Mainly Alice reached the gateway first time and as Jack said, he was working to keep them in the program, so as she woke up first time, she could have escaped, so what happened?
What was with all the trembling?
Why the gateway had no security?
So many things didn't came together.
Parks and Recreation: The Comeback Kid (2012)
LoL
Physical comedy was on point and I rolled on floor of laughing :D
The thing about this show is despite other comedy shows it has lesser bad episodes and almost always enjoyable to audience.
Stranger Things: Chapter Nine: The Piggyback (2022)
When people ever satisfied?
It was a great finally! You should think about the amount of work to put together events and simultaneously kept the multiverse and multi locations occurrence rolling and effecting eachother.
The thing is, those whom complain about fear of not killing main characters are the ones who complain first when a character dies.
If you had objections, where were you when they resurrect hopper?
Stranger Things: Chapter Seven: The Massacre at Hawkins Lab (2022)
12/10 (10/10 is low)
One word "WoW"
Masterly written and directed, including shocking visuall effects. The tension was breathtaking and left me wonder.
🤝
My greatest gratitude for this ep. 👍
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Almost amazing, Almost.
Brilliant writing and acting but not a fresh idea despite many saying. It has joy, laugh, comedy action, drama and important messages but for me it gives a scense of over do in some parts that throws the audience off & feels like too much! Maybe a different director could made this a masterpiece but anyway, really enjoyable and definitaly worth your time.
Sex Education: Episode 3 (2021)
Most of people are really stupid and shallow
I usually don't waste time by writing a review but after reading some comments here we go.
There are like thousands of unnecessary scenes on many legendary shows like rick and morty for example!
Although it wasn't particularly unnecessary.
It is natural to show different sex behaviors in this show!
For ex. Using sex as a defense mechanism instead of grief over a loss so please educate yourself before commenting negative stupid sh..t on a great show.
Man with a Plan: Happy Ann-RV-sary (2020)
What? Finished?
Didn't feel like a finally at all.
Maybe they didn't had more to offer!
In total, mediocre comedy, lovely cast.
Sometimes bored me and sometimes made me laugh.
Guess just needed much more creativity.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
In one word, Mesmerizing!
This episode is one of a kind in tv history. It has ups and downs, yes! Tbh It's not as perfect as expected but Maybe because we had our hopes too high and imagined lot's of great posibilities in our mind over the course of the many years waiting. It's a long way from imagination to actually make sth happen. It's damn hard to write sequence back to back leading to a great finally. Let's be honest, If we all start watching GOT right now from the first episode and reach to this point we may have enjoyed it much more with clear thoughts and less expectations.
Finally lets all take a moment and appreciate the amazing work put to it and change our perspectives.
A Simple Favor (2018)
Full of complexity
First half of it, was too simple and maybe little bit boring but you know in your gut that it has more to it.
The story took lot's of time developing, but it was worth to wait!
It doesn't give you informations one after another to the very ending, but somehow manages to give you everything you need to know for the next scene or won't leave you hanging for too long after a mystery scene.
Has many surprises and twists that you won't be able to take it all in! Maybe cause facts are dark but it'll be shown to you as a simple doing.
Casting was fine. Anna Kendrick's roll was annoying and weird (that she's expert in) at the beginning, On the other hand you'll be perfectly able to witness her trying to improve and become a confident, cool mom who solve mysteries (that Anna couldn't really pull it off).
A movie worth to watch and hard to forget!
Suits: Cats, Ballet, Harvey Specter (2018)
Risk paid off
Beginning of season eight transfers the feeling that something is wrong and it's all disaster ; but new characters and stronger focus on some characters ,new theme & fresh writing amazingly saves the show. (Worth The Risk)
I'm not saying they completely change the material! They actually stayed very original but somehow made little even though noticable changes that I personaly loves very much and begining to enjoy even more than before cause mike-harvey's boy band was getting a little bit too predictable.
