Goodfellas (1990)

Masterpiece!!!
28 September 2013
No one actually realizes how immaculately this film has been made. It is a masterclass in time and emotion. A lot, in fact too many, people are complaining about it being very violent, too bad! it is based on the life of a real gangster in the real world what did you expect? As a matter of fact; the real story actually makes this a kid's movie.

Ray Liotta: performs with brilliance, definitely an award winning performance.

Robert De Niro: another award winning performance, definitely portrays the Jimmy Conway character with passion and most certainly the: "cautious yet violent gangster"

Joe Pesci: another award winning role, he's not on screen as much as Liotta but he makes sure you know him when he is on screen. He is the perfect psychotic gangster actor to ever live, he may be short but never get under his skin, don't even swear at him, or your dead.

All in all, this film is a masterpiece, from start to finish, each character is portrayed with passion and with heart. Certainly on the levels of The Godfather and Scarface.

See No Evil (2006)

A solid flick
15 September 2013
It's not the worst movie known to man, neither is it an award winning horror film; it's average.

SCARE: well to be honest it's more of a gory slasher film rather than a horror flick

ACTORS: looking at Glen Jacob's "Kane" character in the WWE I'd pretty much say he was good for the role, and probably did the best job here, the other teens are more or less average

Story: The story is average, it's not out of this world like Pulp Fiction or Goodfellas, but it's solid.

So overall, as said before, it's and average film with average cast and a solid plot. the reason I have given it 9 out of 10 is because, while I don't think it should be a 8 on IMDb, I do think it's worthy of around a 6, so i wanted to boost up the average rating.

Overall: 6/10

I Am Singh (2011)

Wow!
11 September 2013
This film fails to succeed in its message about racial discrimination, as Sikhs were targeted after the September 11 attacks.

In an attempt to impress the Punjabis the Director thought it would be fitting to call the movie I Am Singh, which is agonizing to think of when you listen to the songs of the film, especially watch the videos. Not only are their white girls in turbans pathetically dancing around, to make matters worse they are half naked which, quite frankly, is unbelievably disrespectful which is ironic because this film is about respect.

Singer Jazzy B will have his Jatt songs, his beer songs and his bikini girl songs, but would never mix that with his religious songs; it's like the main title track takes the naked girls from Kaun Nachdi and put them in Guru Granth Shib Ji, that is disgusting and sad.

Overall this film doesn't deserve a rating, it's too hypocritical and the acting is poorly done.

What did I just watch????
29 June 2013
I watched, in agony, this film last night and I had to watch the Original Italian Job twice just to get over this, a poor attempt to make a classic remake, even the Hollywood remake was acceptable and above all else: Abhishek Bachchan is a disgrace to Michael Caine, this film only had nice effects and that was it, Bipasha and Sonam were unnecessary and the betrayal was poorly executed. This film had rights to the original, it could have been an instant classic, but somehow Abhishek is worthy enough to do the role Michael Caine did? This was a terrible film in general, and a remake of a 5 star classic not taken seriously. It'd be asking someone to remake Goodfellas and him giving you Adulthood, or asking them to remake Die Hard and they give you Singham , just a terrible film

When will Bollywood grow up?
29 June 2013
Seriously, this was by far a poor excuse for a film. It's acting was too filmy and clichéd. But the biggest problem with this film was the action, explain to me how one slap sends you flying? The plot was there, the script wasn't executed well and the action is a major let down. I'm sorry to those that enjoyed it, but for a serious action film, this over-the-top action has to stop, Dabangg did it, and it was just as bad. If this was a comedy film with a comedy plot and script that's fine with me, the action is fine, but when you have a serious action film plot, you have to ensure that the action is realistic, or you film will sink to the bottom, which is what this film did.
