Tall Girl (2019)
Nice, feel good movie
Okay, everyone who reviewed this badly. You guys are taking life way too seriously. I am sorry if anyone was hurt by a movie, but its just that. A MOVIE. It was sweet, funny, romantic. Was it unrealistic? A bit, but isn't that the appeal of romantic comedies? Yep. Also, I dunno if you remember being in school or maybe you were the kid who NEVER got bullied, but to those of us who were, this was our life.
Also, who cares that the swedish guy wasn't swedish.
Go take a nap and get your bottle. It's a cute movie and I think a lot of people would enjoy it if saw it for what it was.
The Lovely Bones (2009)
Great adaptation from the book
I really enjoyed this movie. I read the book and it was great to the narrator's experience put into action. Stanley Tucci is such a phenomenal actor and I never get sick of him. This is the only Mark Wahlburg filmed I have ever liked and he didn't do a terrible job. The images of the the main subjects memories were quite beautiful and it is interesting to think we look down on our loved ones after we pass like she did. Even though, in the movie, they never found her body, the murderer did get his karma in the end which was satisfying. I was happy that it kept pretty true to the book for the most part, although it's been years since I read it.
Kings (2009)
I didn't love it
I didn't love it. It felt slow and repetitive of themes. I loved the actors, Ian McShane is brilliant as always. Sebastian Stan plays a perfect in the closet gay man in his typical bad boy, brooding, damaged character. I didn't even make it to the last episode because it was too slow moving for me. I felt like the family dynamic was predictable and I could tell the relationships were not going to go well from the first couple episodes. I am not gonna lie, I watched this soley for Sebastian Stan. He could be taped eating cake and I would most likely watch it. Hes a great actor, but he got stuck being type casted into these particular roles.
The Apparition (2012)
Not a great plot, but Sebastian is hot
Not a great movie if you are watching it expecting to get scared. This has really no horror factor. The beginning starts out interesting and then it gets hokey. I mainly watched it due to Sebastian Stan being in it and I like watching him, but man, he could have done a better film. That's okay, he's shirtless enough so it makes up for it.Ashley Greene, sorry Twilight fans, is not a great actress. Shes very pretty so I figure that's why shes in this movie. They are an attractive couple and it's a good thing they are, if they weren't, I'm afraid I would have turned it off way before I finished. I like the premise of the movie, interesting concept, but the special effects could have been much better. IMDb is making me write at least 10 lines so now I am just filling up space because honestly, I can't say anything else about this movie.
Political Animals (2012)
Had great potential
I didn't hate this, but I didn't love it either. It had great potential if it was picked up for more seasons, but the first season just didn't cut it. Good acting and good performances. Sebastian Stan is playing his usual role of bad, brooding, woe is me addict, ashamed of who he is and feeling pity for himself and honestly, that's why I watch his movies. It's completely adorable and sexy and if he played other characters, I doubt I would like him as much. Sigourney Weaver is amazing as always. It's interesting to get a glimpse into political life though this show and I think it would have been good if allowed to continue.
