If not, dont watch this, cause it's garbage. Could be directed by a 5-yo who's mom has a fetisch for child beuty contests. The dolls are all worse than Barbie with the hip-waste-chest ratios and the editing is on par with Adam Sandlers worst movies from before he turned famous.

Everything seems to be focused around make overs and trying to look as "fabulous" as possible.

Scrolled though the reviews, many 1/10, and found one that truly captures the "problem". This reviewer saw great ratings for this movie and thought "it might be great, like Avatar!".

Avatar is an aweful ripoff of Pocahontas, and its garbage made for a generation too young to have seen the Disney version (or earlier versions) with native americans instead of blue cat people.

Annihalation is far from a brain dead copy paste, as too many movies tend to be. Annihalation is beutiful and horryfying at the same time. And if you think Avatar is light or crap entertainment, and not a master piece as too many seem to do, then chances are good you will enjoy Annihalation.

The Grey (2011)

over rated and dumb

reading some of the reviews and forum-post and seeing the high score forced me to write something about this movie. this movie is terrible if you feel you need reasons for natural behavior to be put out of play. i for one can not enjoy movies that seemingly want to be realistic but fail badly. there are two reasons, imo, that makes this movie unworthy of your time. 1: the totally unnatural behavior of the wolves. wolves don't attack people. i'd wager more ppl die from squirrel-attacks due to infected bites, then from wolves attacking living, breathing human beings. wolves don't make dens in the form of large "animal graveyards" with old prey laying around. there are a lot of unrealistic behavior throughout the movie but i don't want to add the spoiler-warning since this review is meant to keep people from wasting their time. pretty much everything about the wolves could be excused if they gave us a reason for this dumb behavior. say the wolves are from Mars, or have been mutated!something! 2: the attempt to take itself super seriously... i've seen reviews that this movie is deep and has a subtle message of "what is to be male". it's as deep as a kiddy-pool and not even Liam can make this role believable/likable. i felt no sympathy for any character, much because they tried way too hard to make it sad and depressing. it's like screaming "this is where you cry! this is where you feel like Liam has gone through something terrible and has nothing to live for and still he goes on, OMG WHAT A GUY!!!". this is a dumb movie, for a really dense audience.

this movie is pretty horrible. there are other movies with very similar settings and i think they're all better.

plot: seemingly random people get locked into a room/building/cube for a certain/unknown amount of time and need to solve a/multiple puzzles because someone with resources want to play games.

i normally enjoy these movies cause you cant figure out the puzzle right from the start and you keep thinking about if for the entire movie and then go "ahhhh!" close to the end/at the end. this movie is not like that. it takes itself super serious and thinks its super clever. which is cool, if its true, but it isn't. its easy to figure out the "question", or at least half of it depending on if you credit the writer to actually understand that there is both a question and a statement/request, which i don't, i think it was unintentional.

go watch Cube instead!

why haven't i heard about this movie? someone should have made some noise for this! seeing a movie with no expectations makes it greater then it might deserve but i think i would rate it high even with high expectations.

the first half is extremely creepy and i would compare it to Alien. yea yea, fan boys will ofc hate me, but i have seen no other movie that i would compare to Alien except this one. i have never seen a movie that kept me so focused. i was trying to eat my dinner as i started this movie and i think it took me 1h+ to get the dinner down cause i didn't wanna look away. the story isn't even that original (are there original movies left to be made?) but the pieces picked from stories already told are put together in a really awesome way which makes it feel new and fresh. i think you could make 5-6 movies by picking out parts of Pandorum and developing them. I'm glad they kept it as one compact, awesome flick!
