Superman Returns (2006)
Roger Ebert Lied...Again!
This is easily one of my favorite movies. I was stunned once again by director Bryan Singer's Directing capacities. There are some amazing moments that I will NEVER forget. The guys at DC are amazing as you can obviously tell by how amazing the movie is. Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris never cease to surprise me with their talent. There is an obvious sense of humor which helps hold the movie up as they did in Batman Begins. The Acting is priceless. Kevin Spacey (Surprisingly) makes for an AMAZING Lex Luthor. Kate Bosworth is a great Lois Lane. Brandon Routh...Did his best? Kitty Kowalski did INCREDIBLE. She could easily win one an award for acting dumb. The special FX are quite incredible. With a large quantity of CGI and Greenscreen, It seems to come together very well. I was about a milimeter away from crying...I don't cry Easily.
The Critics weren't too hot on it. But the movie was amazing anyway
Go and see for yourself. You'll see what I'm talking about.
R.U.U. (2004)
I Think That...
With a parody of EST that is beautifully created with a shoe-string budget, such a great screenplay and acting it's not too hard to make a bad movie. But this is not a bad movie. This is a story that people can relate to so well. Everyone has felt that insecurity of what they're doing. R.U.U. Puts this in perspective so it makes for a genius hilarious spin on instability on occupation and on EST. not only is it good as a short film, but it is also it is incredibly funny.
This story is about a motivator who stars to be programmed to say things that he doesn't mean, even though he really has no passion for what he does, but the audience does.
Mallrats (1995)
Saaaay...would you like a chocolate covered Pretzel?
This movie is incredible. many people would disagree for many reasons. People say that it is a bad movie with uneducated jokes. I would like to see them make a movie that is A) funnier B) More realistic Dialogue C) Better Directing. I see nothing wrong with this movie. It has a similar wit to that of "Clerks". This movie was over-bashed. The Critics Hated it Just look at what the average voter said about it. I love so many things about this movie including the great acting and screenplay. If you think this movie is bad than you didn't like "Clerks" or "Chasing Amy". Or instead of having your own opinion the one of the critics' was better so bash it. I think the reason the critics didn't like the movie is because they think Kevin Smith got such an easy start so it was time to bash him. If it was a bad movie, don't you think that there would be so few Kevin Smith fans out there? Maybe you think I'm not a movie person. Everyone Loved "The Aviator" It sucked. "Titanic" Sucked. "Million Dollar Baby" Terrible. That's Hollywood. Anyway in conclusion, one of my favorite comedies.
The Aviator (2004)
Terrible
I know all of the other people who liked this will tell me to f*** off, but I'll live with that burden. The only thing truly amazing was the camera work and some of the acting, Robert Richardson you are a genius. The colors were so very contrasted. anyway, it sucked. the acting wasn't that good. if I had to choose between seeing that and seeing Ray again, I would choose Ray, a million times over. The special effects were terrible. The soundtrack was too. I can't believe the way they ended it. it was the worst ending since the first cut of clerks by Kevin Smith (which re-cut is one of the best movies ever). Just because I'm a Kevin Smith Fan and I don't like the aviator doesn't mean I don't like drama. my favorite movies are dramas. Jay and Silent Bob strike back was even better than this!
