Spider-Man 2 (2004)
8/10
Good Movie
10 February 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a good movie, the action scenes are brilliant, the plot is better in this film then in the original, in this one we start to understand Peter Parker pressures of being Spiderman, how being Spiderman has changed his life dramatically, he cant be their for the ones he loves, Doctor Octopus is a great villain, I found him to be more menacing then the Green Goblin, the fighting scenes between Spiderman and the Dr Octavia's are probably the finest fighting scenes in a super hero movie.

There are the occasional flaws, and the most obvious one like all Super hero films, the Hero always have to save the girl, you would think it would be more logical for the villain to attack a politician then attack a girl, even when its notes MJ, its Aunt May out of all the people Dr Octavia's manages to pick up.

But that's just one small pain in the but in a good film, I like Spiderman, he is a good Super hero, but lets face it, he is not as good as Batman.

could of been great
27 January 2005
this movie had potential to be great, didn't live up to its expectations, Val Kilmor could of been a great Batman, he was a letdown not because it was his fault, it was because the director of this film did not give him a good script, lines like "its the car right" "chicks dig the car", are not lines you would expect from Batman.

the villains are not that great either, in the cartoon series the Riddler is smart he doesn't try to be funny, Jim Carey takes his role as the Riddler a bit to fore.

What about Two Face hes character is very similar to the Jocker, in the cartoon series he is a serious character, with two personalities, in this movie we hardly see those two personalities, we see him as a funny character.

Nicole Kidman isn't flashy as Doctor Meridian, but she is only there to be the love of Bruce Wayne.

Chris O'Donnell like Val Kilmor, could of been a better Robin but failed, but still he was better in this one compared to the sequel to this movie.

If there were any positives to this movie, i would probably say it had some dark moments in it, and the soundtrack to this movie is great.

The music from Seal kiss from a rose is a great song for any movie.

overall i give it a 3, a disappointing film.

the best film i have scene recently
23 January 2005
I cant believe how good this was, this movie and the other 2 films in my op-ion are the best films i have scene in the past 6 years, my older brother is a huge lord of the rings fan, he read the Hobert and the first book when he was in year 7,so when we went to see the first film,he was more excited than any of us.

This movie is great, the plot is terrific, the action scenes are exciting, all the actors play there parts well, the ending is an emotionally one,but i wont spoil anything for the people that haven't scene it.

This movie inspired me to read the book, the book compared to the film can get a bit boring, the movie gets the crucial scenes from the book in, thats what matters most.

Even my brother admitted it, had they included most of the book it would taken 20 hours.

''Tonights for cast a freeze is coming''
23 January 2005
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is simply a waste of time, the acting is terrible, there are a couple things i don't get in this film, i know this has been stated before, why would Mr freeze team up with Poisson Ivy, when one wants to freeze Gotham city, and the other wants Gotham to be filled with plants.

Why does Batman in this movie fall in love with poison Ivy, in the cartoon series and I'm sure in the comics, Batman knew Poisson Ivy was evil he never fell in love with her. For other men in Gotham city it is okay for them to fall in love with Ivy, but not Batman.

Another contrast between the last two Batman films compared to the Michael Keaton Batman films, is the music the music in the first two films was creepier, it gives you the feeling that Gotham city is not a safe place, in the last couple films, the music reflects the lighthearted nature of the movies.

The acting is terrible, George colony will never be the same Batman that Michael Keaton was, Arnold is shocking as Mr freeze, the girl who plays Batgirl is woeful, um ma Thurman was probably the only really shinning light in this film. I don't whant to go into details about Robin.

Whats with the last two Batman films showing Batmans but.

The scene that really summed this movie up for me, is when Alfreds niece finds the bat cave, Alfred captures her, she replies back "i whant to fight crime with Batman and Robin" Alfred in reply says "I designed you a suit".

That Somme's everything about this movie.

Batgirl is Commisonar Gordan niece. Thats another screw up about this film.

Great movie
22 January 2005
This and batman returns and the first couple of Superman's are the finest super hero movies i have scene, Michael Keaton had the same impact as Christopher reeve had with the superman series, when i was a little kid i use to think that batman returns was the best batman, but until a year ago i watched the first batman, and jack Nicholson was a sensational joker, the way he portrayed him was brilliant,Michael Keaton was a great Batman,(i coined't believe he was controversially Joice for the role)the music is great especially in the finally finale,i know heaps of people who hate Batman because he dosen't have superpowers, well this movie shows why Batman is the greatest hero.

Why Keaton left the Batman franchise i will never know.
