Into the Grizzly Maze (2015)
Hero's who fail at every turn.
When did American audiences become infatuated with a protagonist who constantly fails their objective? I was so tired of watching the lead roles drop their gun, forget bullets, miss the target from mere feet away, get lost, drop their knife, forget their first aid, and trip over their feet. At one point a character takes their coat off and leaves it behind. What?! These are hunters and police officers, as we are meant to believe, but they act more like Radio Shack sales associates. Actually, that might have been a better idea. It was as if they had never picked up a weapon or spent more than 15 minutes in the woods. By the end of the film I was rooting for the bear. It was the only character in the film with any redemption. David Hackl, please do some research before you hack out another film filled with characters who can't even stuff their fist into their mouth.
Tata muta muntii (2021)
Entirely Disappointing
Watch this film featuring characters brimming with chauvinism, privilege, and ineptitude. The main character is a fail parade of incompetence which is proven by the story frequently. I spent most of the time wishing his wife and ex would both abandon him. By the end I was hoping an avalanche would bury him for his hubris. No redeeming qualities. Utter rubbish.
Murder on the Cape (2017)
Now I have PTSD
Did the lifetime channel hire Tommy Wiseau to wreck this smorgasbord of garbage? I think it may have been wriiten by Megan Fox. The philosophy is trite, the acting horrific, the script reads like a twitter rage between the members of a teenage love triangle, the soundtrack is muzak, the cinematography is all shot from the same tripod setting, and the story stumbles along like a poisoned man. Can we put this movie on one of Elon Musk's rockets and fire it into the sun. Apparently it is based on true events and if that is the case it is a repugnant insult to any real victim of a crime. Seriously, I feel sick.
