FUBAR (2023)
Now THIS is what the True Lies TV show should have been!
Trust Arnie to bring a real spy show to TV. FUBAR is 100 times what True Lies (TV show) is. Perfectly written, acted and delivered with sharp storylines, comedic input and fantastic action sequences.
Thank you for the team who delivered this fantastic series. I just really hope they do another few seasons and include the whole cast. Monica Barbaro is perfect as Arnie's daughter and the acting between them is absolutely perfectly delivered.
I don't understand how they could launch a True Lies reboot show, and not get Arnie onboard, however let a rival create another show which would ultimately outdo them.
Anyway, this series is brilliant. Another feather in the cap for Netflix. Thank you!
The Ark (2023)
Reviewers are being extremely harsh!
Yes, it's not Star Trek, The Martian, or even your average sci-fi, but it has hope. The acting is quite good, and the CGI is relatively ok. The set needs a bit of work, and the storyline, but it's nowhere near as bad as people are reporting. Give it a chance. My only hope is that it doesn't end up as a Days Of Our Lives in space. There's already been two murders in the first episode, as well as several other red flags that typically make a ho-hum drama. These days it's a very difficult subject to create new material for, as everything that could be done in space, has pretty much been done already. I'll give it another 2 episodes to get in shape and sharpen up.
Hard Kill (2020)
Wow. A new low for action films.
Bruce Willis was the only shining light for this film. It's like it was filmed by high school kids, and managed to find $1m to hire Bruce Willis. Shockingly bad acting.
Pine Gap (2018)
Brilliant! An historic topic brought to mainstream - finally!
Brilliantly acted and everything we've always wanted to know about Pine Gap. The relationships between Aussies and our US counterparts is brilliantly portrayed. Thank you to the actors and people that made this happen. Forget the previous review, this is a series that gets gritty and real and shows the underbelly of the relations between the US and Australia when it comes to the long held conspiracy to what Pine Gap is about and where is where it began. A shared facility that protects the world from global threats and potential harm. Calculating and precise, with amazing accuracy and focus on current topics haunting this world with the Chinese influence on Australian politics. Be scared and very aware that the current threat and obtrusive influence in Australian politics that the Chinese portray is very real. Such an amazingly produced show. Well done to all!
