The Beekeeper (2024)
We have John Wick at home
This movie was very enjoyable for what it was. I just really wish they would have removed the FBI characters/side plot, it really slowed down the pacing and worst of all took screen time away from action you know the whole reason most of us are there for this type of movie. I also wish they would have stuck to their guns and made him actually take out the president, it was such a cop out when they tried so hard to make the president seem like a good guy in that last scene when they're in that room pinning everything on her son as if that's even plausible, not sure why they wanted to paint a Politian as so ultraistic when in reality they're all the polar opposite, though I think we all know why they did that and I knew they were going to cop out the second I saw the president, we all know they wouldn't make a woman president evil.
Also the way they introduced plot points just for them to get solved 2 mins later (looking at the new beekeeper, side not her design was so dumb and was totally unbelievable someone who looked like her could take on hoards of men like the main character.)
Kimetsu no Yaiba: Katanakaji no Sato-hen (2023)
This is not a movie
I would like to make this nice and clear, this is a review of this piece of media as a movie, something that it is not. A movie doesn't have 2 mid credit rolls because they were too lazy to edit them out. A movie doesn't consist of only 33% brand new material that is going to be released at a later date as a stand alone piece of media. This was a scam first and foremost, I don't care if they posted on social media or in trailer somewhere that this is just episode 10,11 of last season and 1 of new season. If people can't google their local theater see your movie and walk in and be happy with it you've failed. I shouldn't have to rely on twitter to tell me this is a scam.
Bob's Burgers: Video Killed the Gene-io Star (2022)
Gene acting like he's too good for his friends for 22 mins
Gene was beyond insufferable in this episode, like seriously my dude just make the dumb stupid music video wit your friends, Gene acting like unless music is Revolution 9 it's beneath him to partake in it. Gene acts like the worst part of ANY community. They try to make him seem like he learned a lesson by the end but then at the VERY end he just grimaces and begrudgingly likes the music video so he doesn't learn anything he at best just learns not to be vocal about his pretentiousness.
B plot was great though which is why I'm giving it 2 stars best enjoyed in clips though cause the Gene plot is just too rough to sit through.
YOLO: Crystal Fantasy: Chaise in the City (2023)
Absolutely absymal episode, matching rest of Season well
I've never seen a show just drop off a quality cliff as far or as fast as Yolo, I was holding off writing this review until the rest of the season was done but my god was this episode just the worst thing I've ever seen. If he really wanted to change this much of the show he should have just made a new show. Lucas was hardly funny in the first season not sure why they decided he should be a main character, Sarah doesn't even feel like same Character and the worst part, there just aren't jokes anymore nothing is funny. My only guess is at the end of the season it's going to reveal this whole season was a "troll" cause I otherwise can't understand how it can go from Crystal Fantasy to this garbage.
77 Minutes (2016)
First half was interesting, quickly ruined by director
The first half covering the actual incident was very interesting, getting to hear first hand accounts by several of the survivors was fascinating. About half way through though they finish covering the shooting and it just turns into the director trying to get a "gotcha" on the law enforcement personnel he was interviewing. Quickly some odd comments made early in the film started making sense, he was trying very hard to make it seem the like the victims were blaming the police cause he very clearly thinks it's their fault some how. After 5 mins of just cringe questioning I skimmed through the rest to see if he was gonna talk to anyone besides the police from that point on, he did not.
The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022)
Nick Cage is back, not that he went anywhere.
Fantastic film, starts off a bit slow and loses a lot of momentum when it decides to become an action film, but that big middle chunk of the movie is still very much worth your time.
Smiling Friends: Who Violently Murdered Simon S. Salty? (2022)
Weakest episode by far
The jokes were very few and far between, none of the episode characters were particularly memorable which even Mr. Frog had. Salty was just plain unfunny, the concept is fun of a murder mystery just didn't pan out very well. Fun to watch simply for Pim and Charlie and the occasional chuckle.
1666 (2011)
boring...Boring....BORING!
The first half of this movie, and yes I literally mean HALF the movie is watching 4 idiots drive around and stand on peoples drive ways/lawns, of supposedly haunted locations, NOTHING HAPPENS and I mean NOTHING. Then they finally get to the house that we know from the beginning is the haunted one and more NOTHING happens, they get locked in, they try to pull a board off of a window for 5 mins.....TWICE and they all eventually disappear and some stock sounds like a baby crying are played while the lights flicker and black out. this is the WORST horror movie, I use both those words sparingly, I have ever seen.
