This is the first series of the True Detective saga that I watch. And I have considered it "watchable". To tell you the truth,I decided to watch it because of Jodie Foster starring and speaking about her, I HAVE NOT REGRETTED.my decision because she has been really FANTASTIC.
Please, mistresses Kidman, Meg Ryan,Bullock,etc....have a look on the face of this actress. She has assumed her ageing with DIGNITY and is fantastic. She is ABLE to express sorrow, sadness and joy with her face, as there is not any Botox making her looking like a plastic robot.
Besides that, the series was more or less good. The co-star (I have never heard about her before, because I live in Argentina, which is America TOO ...but very far south) performed very well and the rest of the cast was acceptable.
What I did not like at all was the gay thing between the girls (sooo similar to the one in Mare of Easttown) and all those chinese-looking women killing the men who weren't actually the ones who lived in the facility six years before, when the other chinese-looking girl was killed,I guess.
That ending was almost ridiculous and a simple way of finishing the plot quickly and in just one episode.
I did not like that at all.
But I spent six entertaining nights that reminded me the time when I was watching The Undoing or Mare of Easttown.
While I wait for new seasons of the British Father Brown or Vera...I could enjoy Jodie Foster's magnific acting.
Regards from Argentina.
