13 Days of Halloween (I) (2020 Podcast Series)

Amazing concept that started very strong and fizzled really hard
14 December 2023
First season was phenomenal and season 2 was still very decent. Season 3 & 4 are almost unbearable to listen to. I don't know who decided it would be a good idea to just keep complicating the stories and adding more voice actors but it's was not a good decision.

I'm my opinion they need to get back to simplicity. Season 1 had the host Keegan Michael key, (Who was phenomenal) take you into a different room inside the manor each episode in which 1 great voice actor would tell a creepy tale. It was excellently executed I've listened to it multiple times over.

However, As each season progressed, they added more and more voice actors per episode, in which most times it becomes multiple people talking in a story and it's literally hard to make sense of what's going on and unbearable to listen to.

If anyone involved in making the show reads this

PLEASE SIMPLY THE SHOW !!!

1 solid voice actor telling 1 creepy tale per episode

PLEASE !!!!

Get back to your roots and make this amazing concept listenable again.

Gone Girl (2014)

Dark, Moody, methodical. Fincher delivers again.
6 October 2014
As one would come to expect from a Fincher film, Gone girl is a dense dark thriller that keeps you guessing throughout. Based on the book and screenplay written by Gillian Flynn, the film shows a deeply disturbing look at a marriage and the delusions that come with domestication. The cinematography works beautifully with Trent reznors soundtrack to carry the pace of the film. slow methodic when it needs to be and quick and gripping at other moments. Fincher is a masterclass film maker who created a style that works beautifully with his cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth, they have a special talent for making the gritty dark underbelly in life look oddly clean, pretty and always captivating. In his latest film he executes perfectly on a levels and proves that he's still at the top of his game and probably won't be leaving film-making anytime soon.

Dark, Riveting Crime Drama
27 January 2014
HBO has done it again. Although this show will not be for everyone, i believe it has real potential to be something special. It has absolutely incredible writing, acting and character development. Some viewers will be annoyed or disappointed in the pace of the show but thats where some of the real beauty and art resides. Real police cases aren't solved overnight nor are they continual gun fights like so many viewers crave. The story is filled with ominous tones and feels like real police case playing out before us. we get a glimpse inside the lives of the so- called "good-guys" if only to find out its sometimes just as dark and disturbing as the monsters they hunt. The characters are deep and complex, Mcconaughey and harrelson are magnificent in reminding us that Nobody is ever purely good or evil, we all reside in some sort of indescribable Grey area. Its gritty, its dark, its disturbing. Its Human Nature written and acted to perfection.
