Naruto: Shippuden (2007–2017)
10/10
3 years passed since the original series, Naruto now is more mature and has learned new techniques
10 May 2007
Warning: Spoilers
"Naruto: Shippûden" keeps up with the original series. With a bigger budget now, the drawings and effects are improved, music once again is excellent, so the quality of the overall product is impeccable. As for the story itself: Naruto comes back from his training with Jiraiya (one of the legendary ninjas) and has grown, so he is more mature after those 3 years. Now we get to see the old characters again, so finally all that time expecting with the "filler saga" has come to and end, this is the original Naruto, the hero's come-back. Sasuke Uchiha, Kakashi Hatake, Sakura Haruno, Tsunade etc., are all back. All the things we liked from the original series are here and we will get to know what happens with all the story arcs we love, Specially what happens with Sasuke.

Argentinian History
6 October 2006
This documentary by Leonardo Favio is pretty good. Regrettably for foreign audiences is too long to watch it on a single night. The good part about it being long, is that is very enlightening. Explains a lot of facts that the people easily forgets. Not only tells us how Peron lived and what he did but also how Argentina stood up against the Super Powers, how did the commoners lived, our great achievements those years and the evil acts of Peron's rivals. Also explains and makes you understand the lives of the people surrounding him and perhaps why Argentineans are the way they are. The production doesn't have great effects and it might abuse on drawings, it also could be a little soggy. The facts enumeration is vast but doesn't make the viewer loose the idea cause is nicely chained. Favio is a known peronist, so this film can be charged with lack of objectivity. I find it truth full and that's why I don't recommend it for Gorillas.

The hard life of the "islanders" in Parana River, Argentina.
13 September 2006
This is a terrific movie, you don't want to miss. I am usually harsh on Argentinian movies, because I usually think Argentinians can do better. Well, this is one of those that did. The History deals on the life of a married couple living in the little islands placed on the Parana river. Their surroundings (town folk mostly) and about their only son. The plot begins when their son brings his girlfriend to the house, because the mother (played by Merello) is a very mean person with a strong personality hardened by the life they have. I was delighted by all performances here, they are just perfect and submerge you into the film, a complete catharsis. If you like little town and solitude as backbone of story telling you will love it. I don't want to tell more for not spoiling it, but Merello's development to the end (she is called "Carancha", A typical bird of the region that behaves like a small vulture) is surprising. I give a ten to it.

Nice comedy, great character relation.
21 August 2006
This is a very funny movie, easy to watch, that entertains you almost all the time. The work of the Director is recognizable and the type of humor is his trademark. The movie is a typical police partners history like lethal weapon, but the jokes and comedy are of Argentinian sort. The twist is that one of them is a psychologist played by Peretti and has to go with detective Diaz (played by Luque) on his assignments while he also assist him (Diaz is troubled because his wife cheated on him). Some of the dialogs are hilarious worldwide: understandable and laughable anywhere. Is very good overall, it would deserved an 8, but I rated 7 because it gets a little down at the end. On a personal remark I must add that is a "bravo" for Argentinian Filmmakers, considering the little good is coming lately.

Brilliant, because is believable
14 August 2006
This movie is a must. Not only cause the performances are excellent, not only cause the script and direction are great but also because it makes you believe in Ghosts. The plot takes you to the patient doctor relation between: Bruce Willis (Dr. Malcolm Crowe) & Haley Joel Osment (Cole Sear), which is beautifully done. But nothing is what is seems. Cole is not just a crazy child, with a tuft family past: he sees ghosts; and nor his mother neither his doctor can't believe him. The process that takes place till Dr. Crowe realizes that the Kid is not telling lies is masterly developed: thrill, drama and the boy's explanation of the supernatural submerge the spectator into the history forcing the catharsis. The experienced viewer can resolve the ending before it happens, only if he is analyzing instead of enjoying and even though it thrills you. The movie's success relies on a seriously developed plot that considers actual life experience and its relation with the supernatural (understand as common things that can happen to anyone). This key factor is the reason why scary movies are great or just ridiculous entertainment, is what separates The Sixth Sense & The exorcist from Freddy and Jason for example.

Gazed by Tanya Roberts
18 July 2006
The movie as rated, is below average, the plot is poor, but the execution is a little poor. What I found interesting on this movie is that Roberts is absolutely gorgeous and pretty undressed for the time (some shots are too bold for 1984). In the mid 80s it could be kinda entertaining, but is not suitable for nowadays audiences, it obviously doesn't contain high art values. As a minor appreciation (and the true reason I watched it), is a superhero movie, so those who like comics and such can enjoy it a little bit more, considering that there is not so many super movies and could see it as measure to other old superhero movies (for example superman -as way better than this one-). Special effects are not bad (explotions and such are nit), but the zebra could have been painted better. For a boring Saturday afternoon it could be a choice if you can't see The Godfather for 20th time.

Excellent storyline, one of the best I've seen in a lawyer's movie.
14 June 2005
Is that good cause because it keeps the spectator entertained all the time. The script is fantastic, it doesn't miss anything. The political statement of the movie is very American, and if you don't like it you will like the movie anyway, cause the dialog's are so interesting. The final is superb there at court. Jack Nicholson is just perfect and so is Cruise. It even has a thrilling final for a lawyers movie. Lt. Daniel Kaffee is a military lawyer that doesn't give a damn about the army, he is just there because of his father and in return for college paid. Two marines are accused of murdering another and he is selected to defend them. He intends to avoid court by arranging sentence but he will find that there are more things in life than results, as these two soldiers will show him. Lt. Cdr. JoAnne Galloway (Demi More's character) convinces Kaffee to work for the truth and take them to trial, for that he will have to face Col. Nathan R. Jessep to try to blame him of the death of Pfc. William T. Santiago taking their carers at the stake. So if you like lawyers movies you will love this one, arguments at court and dialogs between Jessep, Kaffee and the Judge are superb. If you like Army movies you will love the ending also. Really worth watching it
