A Child Lost Forever: The Jerry Sherwood Story (1992)
Heartbreakingly Wonderful
I first saw this film when it originally aired and it affected me so deeply that decades later, when I myself became a parent, I found myself with a real need to rewatch it. After more than a year of searching, I finally found it. All these years later it still breaks my heart, still touches me, still terrifies me. Excellent story, it's too bad it's largely true - no one deserves this!
Portals to Hell (2019)
Meh... Enjoyable but questionable history.
I really did like this show, but then they explored the Emerald Hill House, which is less than 5 minutes from my home. This episode let me see just home little work they actually do looking into backgrounds and area history. Internet rumor is not historical fact. The Colvin's were never accused of witchcraft and its NOT a witch's broom on the stone - it's an upturned torch. Even a little bit of research or a phone call to the historical society (or any of our THREE local paranormal groups) could have cleared up a lot. So as much as I enjoy the show, I now have to question every historical "fact" they give, which really makes it hard to enjoy.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017)
Laugh out loud funny!
I don't generally watch comedies, mostly because I don't tend to find them funny, and I was afraid to watch this because I'm a HUGE fan of the original, but I was extremely pleased with this film. Family friendly and funny for everyone- win-win!
