Truly Awful
29 July 2021
Sometimes you should leave classic line ups alone, this is one of those times. The word comedy should be removed from the description. Just a god awful boring movie.

Fell asleep after 15 minutes

Awful movie. The pace was slower than a garden snail, the dialogue was boring and the acting very ordinary (Well it is Nicholas Cage after all). Would highly recommend not bothering.

I gave this a 1 because you can't give a zero

Having seen the original when I was young, even though I'm not a Will Ferrell fan, I thought I would watch this and see if it was as good as the original. Well I can honestly say I would look forward to having a prostate exam from a doctor with a metal hook for a hand rather than watch this again. The original series was fun and enjoyable and had losts of potential to make a good movie. This one, The acting was pathetic, I only laughed when one of my kids came in the room and pulled a funny face, It was boring and simply a blight on the name of the original. Wouldn't even used this disc as a coaster

Missed the mark

Warning: Spoilers
Watched this movie last night and what could be a great movie was mediocre at best. There are so many mistakes in the polt and the editing which many people are already pointing out. The story line is not much from that of lost world when an actual effort to save the endangered species and the perils behind it could have made some great viewing. All the bad guys except D.B. wong getting killed off in the end by the dinosaurs is predictable. The series is starting to lose the plot that was so well put out by the original. I think if they go back to basics and reexamine the who storyline it could save the series other wise apart from the actual dinosaurs (which I love) it is getting kind of boring.

Ghost Rider (2007)

Not Bad but could have been better
18 December 2011
I am not a comic book junkie but I do like watching the Marvel titles. Ghost Rider was one I was really looking forward to. The special effects are very good and the story line is enjoyable. Sam Elliott and Peter Fonda play very good roles. I understand that Nicolas Cage is a big Ghost Rider fan but I have always thought his acting is too limited to be able to grasp particular characters well and unfortunately this is one of those times. I think with a stronger actor this could have been one of the best marvel movies. Also if you want an actress who can act forget about Eva Mendes (only good in Once upon a time in Mexico) but if you want some eye candy then by all means cast her. Looking forward to the sequel, just hope they don't forget things from the first movie like it happens in so many other sequels.

The World at War (1973–1974)

If you like war documentaries - This is the one
9 January 2008
I saw this series when I was a kid and loved the detail it went into and never forgot it. I finally purchased the DVD collection and its just how I remembered. This is just how a doco should be, unbiased and factual. The film footage is unbelievable and the interviews are fantastic. The only other series that I have found equal to this is 'Die Deutschen Panzer'.

I only wish Hollywood would sit down and watch this series, then they might make some great war movies.

Note. Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan, Letters from Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers and When Trumpets Fade are some I'd recommend
