Survivor: Game of Chicken (2022)
Season 42, Episode 8

Worst episode of Survivor ever!
29 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was okay up until both tribals. First, I actually liked Roxroy but I guess he rubbed his tribe mates the wrong way so he was out. But then the second tribal came up and Drea got all defensive about a second black person being voted out (she and Roxsroy helped vote out their fellow black tribe mate, Chennelle, by the way). Then out come the tears and the race card. And Mary Ann had to bring out her tears and play her race card. Yet none of the votes or potential votes of the night had anything to do with race! Disgusting! Keep up this woke crap, CBS, and you're going to lose your core audience, if you haven't already.

Mostly boring
8 August 2021
I was so excited about this movie because I'm a huge Margot Robbie as Ms Quinn fan. She's hilarious! Unfortunately, this movie was mostly about John Cena (ho hum!) who is nothing on the same level as Will Smith. He's actually aggravating to watch at times! And Ms Robbie was more like a side note actor in the movie with small parts. For most of the movie I kept wondering where Harley Quinn was, and the script for her parts was extremely lacking in the humor we fell in love with in her 2016 movie which featured great dialog and a very funny Will Smith and Margot Robbie throughout the entire movie. I'm glad I didn't waste my hard earned money seeing this in a theater and watched it for free on HBO, otherwise I'd be wanting a refund of my money and my time wasted watching this movie. 4 stars for the movie for at least letting Ms Robbie be in the movie.

Loved the first 2 movies. This one...blah
21 September 2019
The movie had some good points, a few. But there were so many long, drawn out slapstick type fights that just went over the top and made the movie very boring. I ended up fast forwarding through the fight scenes and watched maybe a good thirty minutes of actual interesting dialog and action.

Terrible show
1 November 2018
I watched this with an open mind but just couldn't find any humor or worth in it. They killed off the main character who was the reason for the show in the first place then expect us to enjoy it as if nothing happened. No deal.

Breathtakingly beautiful!
25 November 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the 3D version of this movie on November 24. I was blown away right from the beginning as the movie takes the audience soaring over the rooftops of 19th century London, stopping every now and then to peer down into the windows of beautiful halls decorated for the Christmas season with tables being spread out with festive meals. Or down into the streets to see the common folk play and interact and work as they would have back then. The animation was superb, making me think at times that I was watching a live action movie with real actors. The movie made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me want to see it again. And it stayed pretty true to Charles Dickens' intention for writing the story, that of keeping the spirit of Christmas alive every day and feeling empathy and compassion for our fellow man. And the movie wasn't a watered down "happy holiday" movie that we've grown accustomed to in this day and age when saying the word "Christmas" at Christmas time is not politically correct. There are many beautiful traditional Christmas songs sung throughout the movie. I would recommend any fan of A Christmas Carol, no matter how many versions you've seen, to see this one (and in 3D before it leaves the theaters!).

And for people who say this isn't for children: the theater was packed with children when I went. Their ages ranged from approximately 2 years to 7 or 8 (and of course teens and adults were there, too). Not a single child screamed or cried or whined, and I heard many of them around me ooooo'ing and ahhhh'ing over the movie and laughing at the funny parts (which are numerous).

Fantastic show, and still one of my childhood favorites!
17 May 2005
I grew up being mesmerized by Kolchak and his witty, interesting, sometimes bumbling reporting style that dug up the goods on the city's night time other-world bad guys (and gals). I haven't seen but one or two episodes since I watched the originals in the 70s and would love to see them again. I might have to break down and actually buy the videos of the shows. Also, I hear ABC is going to remake the series and show it in the fall (2005). Not sure how it's going to go over and if they're going to capture that 70s atmosphere. If they don't have Darren McGavin in there or someone as superb and funny as he was/is, I'm not sure if the show will go over like it did when I was a youngster. That, and they'll be competing with all the latest gizmo-loaded, hi-tech, sci-fi shows and movies that have sprung up over the past few years. I won't go into detail about any of the episodes since other commenters have done so very eloquently. Just suffice it to say that you'll either love this series or not, but I'm betting that you'll love it.

Raptor Island (2004 TV Movie)

Awful movie!!!
2 May 2005
Like others have said about this movie, I think this has to rate the worst I've ever seen. Well, maybe it's tied with another worst one about some Leprechaun. Both movies have terrible special effects (which aren't so special at all). My son does stop-animation on his home computer with Playdough figures that are more realistic and entertaining than the dinosaurs in this movie. And when there's a fast-paced action scene, the cameraman shakes the camera wildly to try to give the effect that the action's more realistic and scary than it really is. And Navy Seals? You've got to be kidding! I'd be really ticked off if I were a real Navy Seal and saw the shameful way these guys were portraying the Seals. And the fantastic "hunks" that other commenters mentioned that give some merit to the movie don't impress me at all. I fell asleep watching this thing and don't know how it ends, but I'm sure the last half hour was as bad as the first part of the film. Don't waste your time on this. The bad CGI isn't even funny to watch (like the old dinosaur movies pre-Jurassic Park period), and the acting on the part of the humans in the movie is, like I said, just plain awful.
