Absolutely Inspirational
17 September 2023
Inspirational movie about a journey of 1,000,000 miles. It describes the life of Jose Hernandez and his beautiful family and his undying dream and his insatiable tenacity. I love how they take us from the early years of his life as a agricultural migrant through his schooling, becoming an adult, then a professional, and dreaming the whole time of one thing... to get to space.

The storyline is great. The writing is fantastic. The acting is wonderful. The story is incredibly moving, exciting, informational, and inspirational. They definitely shot on location at NASA in Houston, TX which is cool. If you've ever visited you will recognize the buildings.

This is a great movie for the whole family and I think everybody from young children up to grandparents will absolutely love it. I definitely recommend it and I look forward to watching it with my family soon.

Everyone who worked on this film deserves a big congratulations for collaborating to make this film that tells a beautiful story about a true American Hero. This was an Amazon recommendation and they really hit the nail on the head with this one.

Belly Laughs Every Episode
4 April 2023
This program is a documentary style, educational program with a lovely and hilarious host named Philomena Cunk. She takes us on a journey through history with a combination of stories and interviews. The locations, wardrobe, cinematography and writing are all on point. The humor is quick, absurd, delightful while being in no way shape or form educational. I also love the short episodes as a quick pick-me-up before bed. The show came as a fun surprise for us and I recommend that you give the show a try, it will not disappoint. Diane Morgan is a great writer with a lot to share about history while keeping the show topical.

Great Movie
11 September 2022
I'm so happy that we choose to watch Finding Your Feet which is a sweet little movie that gives more laughs and feels than I expected. It tells the story of a woman who let her life get off track and stay that way for far too long. It's also a wonderful story about carrying on when things fall apart and being open to the opportunities that we come across. Then again it's also about choosing the life you want rather than the life that makes sense for everyone else. The characters are relatable and so easy to love. They did a great job with casting. It's touching and fun. I recommend you take a look. We found the film to be inspiring. And begs the question, why in the world aren't people dancing anymore???

It's better than the ratings suggest
7 August 2022
This is a cute, light, fun movie about two sisters entangled in a dysfunctional relationship. It takes place in Fresno California, sorry Fresno, but that's basically the armpit of California where there opportunities are limited. The people in this story are living in this hole and it's depressing. Nevertheless, they're trying to make the best of it. The aspect that is most interesting is the codependent nature of the sister's relationship because we don't see that acutely portrayed in films or television.

Aside from that, it has a lot of really funny people in it including Molly Shannon, Fred Armisen, Judy Greer, Natasha Lyonne, Malcolm Barrett, Ron Livingston, Aubrey Plaza, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Hitchcock and Clea Duvall all of whom are very funny actors.

It's a story with heart that is worth the watch.

Very funny, great stories!

I just watch this comedy special and found it to be hilarious. As a fellow Gen X, survivor of the 1980s I too am fed up with the hyper sensitivity of the current social climate. Thank God there's another woman out there willing to speak up and make fun of the funny stuff that's going on right now. Better to laugh than cry. Christina P. Is very funny, she tells a great story, and she put on a very good special. I laughed out loud a lot while watching it alone. Definitely recommend.

I am a fan of David Spade and the whole Happy Madison stable. This is a light and funny movie. Don't over think it. Sit back and enjoy.

Finally... Thank you for the moment
24 April 2020
This is a quintessentially Beastie Boys moment. Doing a documentary their own way just like they did it with music. Always creating something new. This is story telling, an opportunity to walk back in time with these artists as they guide us through a journey from their perspective. An ode to MCA. An adventure that's worth the ride. I laughed out loud. I cried out loud. I got up and danced. I fell in love again. Thank you.

Important Show
27 October 2018
Warning: Spoilers
It is terrifying to contemplate Steven Avery's reality. This show is an absolute heartbreaker and an eye opener. The judicial system gets it wrong too often, and at what cost? People are robbed of their life. Their liberty can be stolen by a simple failure. Innocent people should not be in prison. More documentaries like this must be made. Wrongful conviction cannot be left alone and cannot be forgotten.
