Naked As We Came (2012)
A truly wonderful movie.
A truly incredible movie. It depicts the real life struggles families face when exposed to the emotional turmoil. Ted & Elliot made an awesome couple and Lilly was stellar with her performance.
The emotional roller coaster we go through when a parent is about to pass is one of the worst challenges in life and you hit the realism so close to home with this production.
You can almost spin off a NAWC 2 with the on again off again relationship of Ted and Elliot and interweave the marital struggles of Laura. Kudos and hats off to you and what you brought to us in this movie.
The One (2011)
Mixed feelings on this one.
I really loved how this was moving along as a feel good movie, although he could have told his soon to be wife, "hey honey, we need to talk" before she got outfitted with a wedding dress.
You can't let what's expected in life be a guide for your true emotions. Daniel knew exactly that he was struggling with trying to fit in with what he was taught was the norm for society, but he should have held strong to his internal emotions.
Yes Daniel you blew your chance at true happiness in this movie. I don't care about him pushing a baby stroller down the path at the end of the movie to make us think everything will be alright. It won't, because you will always have that feeling of the one true love you let get away because of what you thought society was telling you what you should be like.
We need "The One 2" to close up this mess, bring Daniel and Tommy back together after a long search for each other, bring the ex wife into the fold to mend fences and use this opportunity to show that two dads can also help raise a baby. Sure life isn't always fair, but there are more misery gay movies out there than sunset walking hand holding endings in general.
Holding Trevor (2007)
Whoa.........just wrong
Trevor, you're an idiot. Here you have a great guy that is willing to do anything for you and what do you do????? You let "friends" be a deciding factor on whether you stay with him and move to NYC or remain in LA.
And you, "FRIENDS", how can you call yourself his close friends by pouting and trying to find fault why he shouldn't move to NYC since it's been a hard road for Trevor finding someone that he can finally feel comfortable with. I would not consider you quality friends if you're only thinking of yourselves. Don't use length of friendship and health issues to guilt someone into staying permanently in your life.
Trevor you will never find happiness now that you've thrown away the one good thing to come into your life in a long time. Dude, (I had to throw that word out there), you deserve the loneliness you're going to receive for a long time now. Trust me those friends won't be able to fill the void you're going to have now.
