Yoga Hosers (2016)
virtually unwatchable
I love most of Kevin Smith's movies and I enjoy his recent stuff that steps outside his norms as he plays with whatever ideas intrigue him but this is the one notable exception. The movie had so much potential and fell so far short of it that the movie is virtually unwatchable. The acting sucks, even notable actors gave crappy performances in this. The fake Canadian accents and dialog had me turn the movie off twice before I was able to finally force myself to sit through the rest of it. Hopefully his next venture isn't as fantastically bad as this one was.
Dear Wendy (2005)
Can't believe I wasted time watching this
This was easily one of the worst movies I've ever had the misfortune of watching. The movie did have promise and could (should) have been much better but it just failed in every attempt. The acting was horrid, the story line was crap and it just dragged out forever (or so it felt). I know a lot of people will read this and automatically respond " well he just didn't get it"...no, I got it perfectly fine, but that doesn't change it into a good movie, in fact it just underlines how bad this movie is, that with so many ideals, points and views about guns and kids this movie just fails to deliver them in any type of way that makes it worth watching.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007)
good effort adapting it from the book
Overall the movie is enjoyable. People who have never read the books may be a touch confused because some things aren't fully explained but that really doesn't take away much of the enjoyment of this movie. There are a few things I think should have been explained a bit better or in a slightly different way as they do have some bearings on future books (and most likely movies) so it will be interesting to see how they handle the exclusion of them in the next couple of movies. The child actors have certainly come a long way from the first movie and its really evident in the scenes with Harry and his friends wanting to train and fight against Voldermort. Some of the scenes may be a tad scary for younger crowds but there aren't very many of those. I'd have to say that its probably the best of the 5 so far just in terms of story, acting and overall enjoyability.
