An Idiot Abroad: India (2010)
Season 1, Episode 2

It is hilarious
13 April 2024
India has very diverse cultures and religions. This episode shows the poverty, the miserable conditions of the poor people in India, weirdness and absurdity of some religious traditions but also the warmth, hospitality and friendliness of Indian people. Karl is disappointed and surprised to see the traffic, animals. He is ironic and made me laugh. Ricky Gervais did a good job and the way he laughs Karl out is hilarious and lovely at the same time. India is amazing but needs a lot of patience and open minded visitors. The show is really funny and Hats off to the Camera men.

I don't want to spoil much so watch it - really recommended.

Suspense
10 July 2023
The movie shows terrible disturbing scenes that are not for everyone. There is a lot of tension so the movie caught my attention and i watched it to the end even though i usually get bored quickly. The police are trying to find the kidnapper of two kids but it is very complicated. Hugh Jackmann plays the troubled lost father who is doing anything to find his kidnapped daughter.

Paul Dano was incredibly provocative and was able to portray the role of a sick traumatized boy very well. Unfortunately he didn't get as much of attention as Jake Gyllenhaal and Hugh Jackmann did. The film is shorted and has unexpected ending.

Revenge at its best
10 July 2023
The drama is perfectly done. Great movie, suspense but also disturbing and not for everyone. It requires attention to understand the themes, characters and plot in order to get the point of it.

Jake Gyllenhaal is unfortunately underrated and he did a great work in this film that I would see him winning an Oscar for his role in Nocturnal Animals.

The music shows the sad and scared gestures of the characters. There are amazing relevant connections between real life and fiction put together. Edward might look fragile but he knows how to get over problems.

Success is a good way to revenge after a break up.

Friends (1994–2004)

Overrated

They use the trick of contagious laughter. This type of comedy does not require intelligent dialogue management, but rather makes daily funny situations only.

I once watched Friends with my mates and asked them if they understood the joke they were laughing at and no one was able to explain it to me. They just laughed because of the laughter in the background)

As for the cultural aspect, it is a work directed to a certain class in society, and it is often the middle class and the rich, especially those of white skin due to the relatively stable nature of their lives. The reason for this attraction is that Friends is not concerned with the central problems of the individual, but rather focuses on problems that are somewhat of a luxury for most other groups of society.

Waste of time

Ahmed helmy is a humorous actor but watching this move was so boring and has many repeated similar scenes. It revolves in a comedy framework, which exposes many of our impulses and egoism, as it shows our selfishness in our lived reality, ignoring others, from the people closest to us, such as our fathers and mothers to our neighbors and even the people we meet in the street, this movie shows the failure of self-seeking and its negative impact on our relationships.

Humorous, somehow also serious and it gives a lesson " don't be ruthless and think of your relatives and community as well"

Emily in Paris (2020– )

Full of clichΓ©s
28 November 2020
It's dumb on so many levels, because it has many mistakes and goofs. It's cliche, Emily is annoying, she dresses really badly and please, if she's a social media marketing expert why does she have a bit of followers on her Instagramaccount?!. Her behaviour is also not respectful to the french culture.
