Raktha Kanneeru (2003)
Upendra Acting at its best
Raktha Kaneeru though a remake holds the viewers attention through witty dialogues , neat screenplay and extra ordinary performance by upendra and ramya to certain extent. Upendra as a foreign return 'Mohan' believes in body pleasures as the ultimate goal of his life and falling in trap laid out by Kantha who is behind his money . Mohan in meanwhile troubles his wife and mother. Time is too late when he is diagnosed with leprosy where the law of nature catches up with him. Raktha Kaneeru is a movie with social message which hits at your heart with superb acting by upendra. His dialogues and swag brings the egostic attitude to 'Mohan' character. Dialogues are superb with few melodious songs by Sadhu who has also directed the movie. Don't miss it as it is a healthy movie with good message.
Pancharangi (2010)
Yogaraj Bhat At his Best
Yogaraj Bhat proves his class once again in Pancharangi with crisp dialogues and taut screenplay . Movie as a whole provides wholesome entertainment with philosophy. Narration is sarcastic and comical peculiar to Yogaraj Movies. Screenplay by Yogaraj Bhat and Lucia Fame Pawan Kumar is riveting as climax unfolds. Ananth Nag Cameo is brilliant and provides a philosophical angle to the whole story. Diganth comes with a neat performance as well as Nidhi. Supporting actors which include Sathish Neenasam Pawan Kumar are apt. Mano Murthy excellent Music coupled with superb lyrics by jayanth kaykini makes the movie memorable. Udisuve Belukina Seere, Pancharangi Pow are the best among the lot.
Overall A Excellent movie with healthy content.
Duniya (2007)
One of the KFI Best BlockBuster Movies
Soori is one of the atypical of KFI who could provide commercial movies with artistic touch and duniya proved the same about it. Duniya' is a film that should not be missed as it is a top class presentation with huge dose of nativity which only Soori could execute. Sathya Hegde has delivered a top notch cinematography without which Duniya would have lacked that punch it delivers. Editing is tad abrupt however it also brings a new style of presentation which is unique.Soori has relied more on the reality and has taken his camera to depleted and exhausted structures.Vijay and Rashmi have given the best in their roles of Shivu and Poorni. Loose Mada alias Yogesh has also performed well. Rangayana Raghu and Kishor who steal the show. Rangayana Raghu's dialogues are good and catchy. Music by Manohar is good. Kariya I love You and Paapi Duniya are the best picks. BGM by Sadhu is Good. On the whole on one side when Mungaru Male was satisfying mostly class and family audiences . Soori Duniya provided a realistic hard hitting movie with a difference.
Upendra (1999)
Brilliant Movie Upendra Rocks Again
Sheer brilliance .This movie is still so fresh and engrossing. Movie brings out the double standards followed by humans . It is a philosophical movie told in a exciting , unusual and unbelievable way by Upendra. Movie Opening Scene, title song and climax are extraordinary.
Movie brings out the selfishness and egoistic attitude of the human beings to the core with a extraordinary climax which is open ended. It raises questions on the hypocrite society with 'Nanu' Character.
Upendra as a director has proved once again he is way ahead of the time to give a extraordinary movie. Waiting for its sequel Uppi 2 .
Ugramm (2014)
Cult Classic
Ugramm is one of those movies which grows on you as you watch the movie. After Om, KFI has redefined gangster genre movie and ugramm movies proves that KFI is on verge of new era . I was blown away by the cinematography , screenplay and direction. One of the few movies where all departments have performed well as a team. Hats off to Prashanth Neel for coming up with a mind blowing script which hits back at you every moment. However first half is tad slow . Mugor fight and Agastya victory march sequences provides unbeatable kick to the audience for sure. SriMurali stuns everyone with dialogues and superb body language has made an excellent comeback. Haripriya too engrosses the audience with her bubbly role. BGM fits the bill too. Surely Cult Classic for KFI.
