Epic Conclusion!
13 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously unapologetic in my love for this movie. I was truely surprised how many negative reviews I have seen about it. It starts with the premise the dinosaurs are already out and living in society. They aren't focusing on dealing with the dinosaurs, the dinosaurs existence has been accepted and the plot moves forward into a different story line. The consequences of more genetic manipulation that has caused a different potentially cataclysmic issue.

In my opinion it had a great story line, I loved how the legacy cast and new cast was brought together and I thought it was done with humour and fun. The characters have developed since we last saw them and I love their relationships and their interactions with each other. I didn't feel there was any lack of dinosaurs or dinosaur battles. I'm also glad they didn't try to deal with the existence of the dinosaurs and what to do with them. They have accepted them as part of life and moved on. All in all it was a fantastic movie and one I will watch many times in the future. I'm glad Henry Wu was able to have his moment of redemption at the end. This movie had all the feels and I loved how it gave a nice happy conclusion at the end. It was well acted, kept a good pace which it needed being a longer movie and the visual effects were beautiful. Loved the sequences at the end with some scenes of modern animals racing alongside the dinosaurs.

Well worth seeing! Sit back and enjoy the ride!

Alright everyone, look right here...
28 June 2019
Look right here at this little light, that's right, one little flash.... now forget the bad reviews and forget the past three movies!

It's not epic Marvel or Lord of the Rings, its not going to go down in history as one to be remembered in 50years time, having said that.... if your looking for a fun, humorous in parts, mildly predictable, action filled adventure this will tick all the boxes. It does rely more on the notoriety of the big name actors/actresses but hey, we like them right so it works. Sit back, relax, enjoy the ride and don't forget the popcorn!

Loads of fun!

I was worried when I saw this that I'd compare it to the cartoon the whole way through and ot just wouldn't stack up, I was pleased to find I was wrong! Will Smith didn't try to be Robin Williams and he made the role his own. Id worried the songs wouldnt be as good and I'd be comparing the voices but although I still love the original voices I really enjoyed the way they did the songs in this. The cast was well chosen and the whole movie was brilliant! I loved it and will definitely be seeing it again.

Mary Poppins Returns Lights the Way
29 January 2019
I have been to see this movie a couple of times already and I absolutely love it! I think the cast were all amazing and the movie left me wanting to sing and dance along with it right to the end. Weeks later and my family are still singing the songs. The score is amazing and the movie is filled with heart and a message of light and hope that is sorely needed in a cynical world. They couldn't have chosen a better cast! All of them deserve praise, you could really see how much they enjoyed what they were doing and it made the story so much more heartfelt. Would love to see more of this cast working together. Jack and Jane were particularly sweet match even if their story didn't get a huge amount of screen time. I thought the songs were brilliant. It surprised me to hear people say they were forgettable. I loved the message behind Can You Imagine That, Where The Lost Things Go and Trip The Light Fantastic. I wish people would be more understanding with 'The Cover is Not the Book'. Yes there was innuendo but that was the point. It was a Patter song and a sign of the time the movie was set. Yes it's bawdy, yes it's cheeky and yes it's fun.... that's what it was designed to be. This movie is a delight in every way. Totally worth watching and re watching for years to come!

Yes we are lucky, Yes stuff and nonsense is needed and fun, No the cover is not the book, Yes maybe those we have lost are watching over us and Yes when life is getting scary we should be shining the light for all to see!
