Car Matchmaker with Spike Feresten (2014)
Carplete waste of time
If you find used car dealers entertaining, and fun to be around- Then this show's for you.
Finally a car show that that's not about driving fast, or having fun. Instead it focuses on driving around slowly and talking about three cars that any of us could see, at any car lot in America. But before you say, "that doesn't sound interesting," It's hosted by the least funny comedian you've never heard of.
I would rather help my mother shop for a car, than watch this show! I would rather help someone clean their garage, than watch this show! I would rather change the transmission filter on someone else's car, than watch this show!
Motor City Masters (2014)
To Wong Foo, Thank for Everything Chevy
From the network that brought you such shows as, "Lizard Lick Towing," and "Conspiracy Theory With Jesse Ventura," comes a series that attempts to combine a car design competition, with a fashion, and a reality show. The result of this fusion fiasco, is a program that is rife with emotional outbursts and childish conflict, but which contains very little emphasis on the cars, the design process, or the work required to accomplish the concepts. Instead, the show chooses to spend the majority of its time covering feuds between artistic prima donna's, and judges who appear in ridiculous hats and outfits, and then assert their authority to decide what looks good. I have a feeling, the only reason this competition was 'centered' around cars, was simply because the series scored sponsorship from Chevy. A better tittle for the show would be "Project Runway, Chevy edition."
