Rutherford Falls (2021)
Bland
Watched 6 episodes, not one tiny chuckle. The rest of the show isn't interesting and the issues they try and tackle aren't handled well. Rotten tomatoes critics gave 94% because they're too afraid of telling the truththat this show sucks and then being Canceled because the cast is mostly native American.
Civilisations (2018)
This is an art history documentary series folks.
Other reviews trounce this series because of what it isn't. That isnt fair. It never was an archaeology based program, BC Its a REMAKE of an Art hisytory series!!! Always educational and interesting, art history can be a bit much for the less academically astute. This is top notch work all around. Remember folks! You cant hate on a work of art bc it wasn,t what you thought it was.
Aliens in LA (2019)
Mockumentary parading as real stories
This is simply horrible. None of the 'experiences' seem believeable. It's obvious they are actors choking on written lines. Whoever made this wasted so much time and money. I'd be embarrassed to have my name linked to this garbage!
Don't Get Caught (2018)
Terrible
Everything about this 'movie' is done poorly. Terrible acting, excrutiatingly painful cinematography, and clearly no one involved has made a movie beffore
Roman Empire (2016)
typical 'modern' docudrama with unnecessary acting to expand viewer reach.
sadly another typical 'modern' docudrama with unnecessary acting to expand viewer reach. while the acting ls atrocious, at least they cast most actors close to contemporary descriptions. quite a few of the reviewers have commented ln actors looking like pornstars, along with 6 packs and being built. if they'd listened to the academics and not focused on something trivial, they'd have learned commodus was an athlete and in real life built. this doc has well explained academic commentary on a often criticized, yet rarely lectured about emperor. here, ignoring the sensationalized acting, we come away with an interesting chronicle of the emperor who began the downfall of rome. his father is often declared the last good emperor. while it'd save time to just read about commodus' failures, a new roman documentary is always worth it to history buffs. Senātus Populus que Rōmānus!
Anesthesia (2015)
not for shallow, non intellectuals, 90% of population
this movie is deep, moving and ignites the brilliant, yet deep sorrow filled questions of what the meaning of life is and how one should choose their own purpose. excellent movie. mediocre reviews i assume were because the critics are forced to actually think and question deeply personal and wider societal issues, instead of brainlessly watching a film. the movie is about a mugging that splinters story lines of every one connected or effected. the movie encompasses broad problems that are unique to each character in a sincere way. The majority will be able to relate to at least one, if not more of the issues portrayed here. everybody is searching for the answers and this is an honest film aiming to get the audience to remember our actions are never kept isolated in this world.
The Lovers (2015)
enjoyable movie, despite what the wannabe siskel and eberts conclude
2nd review ever, only to shove it in all the pompous amateur critics on this site who almost made me turn away from this entertaining adventure-rom....yes not everything is spot on, mainly how the ring ended up on the ship....use your imagination folks, if any of these reviewers paid attention , the main characters brother was under his direct command .....ya so hard to figure out....disregard the other reviews who hate all but masterpieces...solid heartwarming movie with adventures action and drama...and the cinematography is breathtaking. must add....historical fans don't worry, the modern plot comprises 10 min or so of the movie and could have been left out...cheers to a farm in Massachusetts!
