Here After (2020)

Almost good...

This movie had potential to be a really good film but it never hit the marks. Dialog, acting and humor was just off the entire time. If it was just a little better at every turn it would have been a great movie but it just fell short the entire way through. Too many bad choices with direction, lines etc. Just not a great film at all. Watchable if you are extremely bored with nothing else on, but not worth your time otherwise. Bummer because it had potential.

Zoey's Extraordinary Christmas (2021)

I loved the series and was a little skeptical that the movie would hold up but it did! Really cute Christmas flick with the same unique charm that the series had. I really hope someone picks it up again! I am really surprised it was cancelled so soon, it never lost steam!

Anyone who rated this poorly, missed the point and is part of the problem.

So many 1 stars that comment about how much money the team DID make. That is not the point. They should make a lot, all pro athletes make a lot compared to other professions. The point is, they get paid less for the same success as men. They are paid based performance and wins, they made more overall (barely) but they worked 3 times as hard. Just because their income is more than most of us watching, doesn't mean that wage gap does not apply. It does. Great documentary and extraordinary woman and athletes! I can't wait for my daughter to watch this!

The Lovebirds (2020)

Funny and entertaining

Not sure what the bad reviews are about, I thought this show was really funny. Issa Rae and Kumail Nanjiani have great chemistry and the banteer was awesome. Worth watching for sure.

I don't think the 1 reviews are accurate. However, I think it helped that I read some spoilers first so I knew the gist of the storyline. It's a good sci-fi show and worth watching over a long weekend. It's nothing like lost and maybe that is why reviewers didn't like it. If you try to compare it won't add up. It would probably be more irritating to watch if you don't know the storyline sooner. They are all prisoners in a virtual reality being tested for redemption/freedom. Knowing just that made the show a lot more interesting from the start.
