Truly Outrageous
4 November 2015
Really - it was truly outrageous because of how terrible it was. Jem in name only. This movie resembled absolutely NOTHING from the series and the acting was so cringeworthy, I could barely watch them spew their lines out. I would like to blame it on their youth, but there are many young female actors who are far superior. I really am disappointed in this movie, the trailer on YouTube has more dislikes than likes, that's how terrible it is. After all the excitement I had about finally seeing a Jem movie in the works, I can't really explain how I feel let down by it. If you grew up wanting to be Jem, like I did, then seriously you're going to leave the theatre feeling annoyed and quite frankly bored. The storyline left a lot to be desired, it really felt more like Hannah Montana than the Holograms - a pretty-yet-plain "uncool" sobbing girl who magically becomes a web sensation overnight, even though she's not a cat playing the piano - it just didn't feel real, especially when a wig and pink eyeshadow are hardly the tools of a master of disguise. It was genuinely nothing like I remember, nothing like the girls who inspired me to dye my hair bright colors and it was a total waste of money.

Fear the Walking Dead (2015–2023)

Great build up to The Walking Dead
15 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe some people are finding this boring? Personally I am loving the vulnerability and naivety the characters are showing. This is the very early stages of the outbreak. We knew it was going to be a whole "in the beginning" story, so why some people are expecting more gore and "kill now ask questions later" stuff is beyond me. In the show, most people still think this is some kind of sickness bug going around, that might have a possible cure. The idea of killing an infected neighbor or friend is still a totally barbaric notion, so it's interesting watching the characters coming to terms with the idea of pulling the trigger on someone. I think they're acting quite naturally, by just ignoring it as much as possible until it goes away, as we tend to all do nowadays and letting the proper authorities handle it. Although, my only gripe is when Travis witnesses his infected neighbor eating a dog, who then gets up to attack Travis, attempting to pin him down at eat his face, and the whole time Travis is reasoning with him as if the situation is sort of normal... The guy was just eating a dog, fur, guts and uncooked on your sitting room floor, and you're reasoning with him?! OK then pal.

don't waste your time
10 September 2015
I stayed up late on a work night to watch this and I'm disappointed. That's 90 minutes of my life I won't get back. The whole movie seemed to lack suspense. It was advertised as a slasher movie, but it contained no gore and the most pathetic excuse for violence. It was almost laughable. I feel like they blew the whole budget on Amber Heard's bikinis and underwear, so they couldn't afford any really good bloody or gruesome SFX. There was no story arc whatsoever, it just didn't seem like it was snowballing into this incredible edge-of-your-seat suspense, he ended up killing everyone in such obvious and stupid ways, there were some scenes that could have been made to be incredible, but they were cut short and you didn't really know what happened. Even the ending was anti- climatic. Personally I don't know how a serial killer who interacts with the victims families and close personal friends can evade capture. This is 2009 America, surely the man was caught on CCTV somewhere? I just found the whole story unbelievably boring and far fetched. A man deleted a photo you took of him off your phone and you deduce that he's a serial killer? Right until the final showdown, I was wondering when the suspense and drama would kick in.

Inside Amy Schumer (2013–2022)

How many ways can you tell the same joke?
15 February 2015
If you hate laughing, then watch Inside Amy Schumer. It was painfully unfunny to watch her spit out the same joke in every sketch. This show is supposed to be directed at women and their perception of sex, but the last time i checked, I was a woman and I just couldn't laugh at or relate to any of it. I'm not a prude at all, but her joke is not well put together and the way she tells it comes across as childish, a bit like a high school kid who's bragging about self humiliation, rejection and sex like its no big deal.

Her sketch show mirrors her stand up comedy shows, dry and leaving a lot to be desired. How many ways can you tell the same joke?
