Palm Royale: Maxine Throws a Party (2024)
Season 2 Please
Possible Spoilers
Season 2 please!!
I do want to know who lives, who dies, and how Maxine will capitalize on her relationship with Agnes. It seems the keeper of secrets had the biggest one.
I felt the series jumped the whale a few times. But telling the fantastical mental states of the women was amazing.
High marks for the capture of life in South Florida in the 1960s. I lived there as a child and attended a few similar parties between 1960-1980. Filled with the granddaughters of post civil war robber barons. The money, manners, written cards, long white gloves. Gay escorts and over the top parties. I remember one that trucked in 300 Christmas trees.
Missing, cigarettes, cigarette holders, dame golf, scotch, Seaquarium, Flipper, Skipper Chuck, Vizcaya, Miami Beach, the Miami Dolphins, Keys, Hemingway and rum running from Cuba while Marlin fishing.
Better Call Saul: Point and Shoot (2022)
Perfection
Great start to the end.
Gonna miss BCS.
The acting, the story, the twists, the use of foreshadowing.
So much ground to cover, looking forward to every episode.
Life & Beth (2022)
Slow open, but worth it!
I want to nominate S1E6 for an award, it's great.
It took a few minutes to get to the issue in the first episode, but then we binged through E6.
Paused now, until our children get to sleep. Can't wait to see what happens.
The Genetic Detective (2020)
This will be interesting!
Can't wait for the next episodes. This is "state of the art" true crime solving in an emerging field.
This first episode introduces the main characters: CeCe, GEDMatch and Codis. Future episodes will certainly focus on the mystery and "whodunnit"
Looking forward to each episode!
Bad Times at the El Royale (2018)
Uncompleted story arcs
Interesting.
A fictional story based on the idea of gangster treasure(s) left at fictional hotel based on Calneva where real rat packers and celebrities frolicked and may have left treasures.
I liked watched this through but there are so many missed opportunities to intertwine the story arcs and bring it all home. The acting, costumes, music and set all great, story got me thinking but left so many loose ends.
There are the about nine story arcs. Are they really completely unrelated? About half of them are left dangling in the end.
