Premise is promising but how can you frig up at episode 3? Stupidity is not comparable to suspension of disbelief. Bad writing equals bad serie. The moronic writing with all that ground work to get something right is astounding. Do it, do it good.

Production wise top notch. Even those moronic lines are played with heart.

And Endo era feudal Japan, ronin was an odd case and not tolerated.

U Code and honour.... Seppuku is always a possibility, at least for these writers.

All the affort is so wasted on the inane script.

Watch, it is entertaining but frig the script is bad.

And few more lines just IMBD wants it.

It seems writers are just freewheeling and going with the flow. Pointless BS with unbelievable stupid choices for characters. The looming Roanoke mythos is a sacrilege and with that kind of treasure rove I can't understand this kind of nosedive.

Bad rating is because of season 2. It destroyed everything good in first season.

Worst part is the writing, lazy incoherent rubbish. Plot lacks any suspension of disbelief, events going nowhere or speeding without build up, characters not evolving and doing the most inane things all this leading them to be unbearable and annoying. Subplots are just space fillers. Editing is weird mixture of too slow or too jumpy.

The only positive thing is sound. Good atmosphere overall and even with the uneven cinematography it stays on par with first season..

I hope I never have to suffer this kind of garbage anymore.

Great fighting choreography, good camera work and overall not too shabby execution.

Destiny mantra gets bit boring and individuals behind casting have weird fascination for strange looking and big noses.

I've always liked British series, especially crime related which have long tradition in British television.

So here is a 8 star crime-drama with interesting historical tints. This can't go wrong, right?

Wrong.

Elephant sized plot holes on non-existing script which stalls on petty sidelines and then in a last minute sums everything up without satisfactory conclusion.

One dimensional clichéd characters with little-to-no growth whose actions are idiotic and naive (to a point I had to take pauses just to bite my hand not to scream aloud) topped with pointless and flat dialogue.

Abusing historical facts as they please still leaving incoherent story line.

Technically excellent with good acting but... with writing this bad which constantly underestimates viewer amazes me how something like this has 8 star average.
